tips for 2008

With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some good advice.  For all of you with any money left, be aware of the next expected mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and make some BIG bucks.

Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R. Grace Co. Will merge and become:
Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Zesta Crackers join forces and become:
Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become:
MMMGood.

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will merge and become:
ZipAudiDoDa .

5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become:
FedUP.

6. Fairchild Electronic s and Honeywell Computers will become:
Fairwell Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become:
PouponPants.

8. Kn otts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become:
Knott NOW!

And finally...

9.
Victoria 's Secret and Smith &Wesson will merge under the new name:
TittyTittyBangBang

How funny :)

If you think having the majority in the house means you get to make the decisions, don't you think we would have passed the bailout bill by now?  It doesn't work that way.  Republicans are the ones who want the government to stay out of big businesses, not the Democrats.   The Republicans don't want to tax anyone, including the very wealthy, and they don't want to limit what a  high paid executive can make because they're afraid they won't take advantage of the bailout system and everyone will suffer.  It's a real mess.

Do your homework!  The Demo's have the majority, they could pass it.  They are scared, because when it fails they need to blame the republicans like they do everything else.  We are all taxed to death everyone.  Go start a business, get a brain and then you will see how everyone is so over taxed.  Democrats usually never own businesses, they just suck off the system.  They live very elitest lifestyles and they like to spend money, your money, my money.  Educate yourself.  There is so much you don't know.

I am a Democrat and I'm proud to be more concerned about the unfortunate than the wealthy.  Most people I know who have their own businesses do NOT make $250,000 or more.  We need to lessen the gap between the wealthy and the lower to middle class, and four more years with Republicans in the white house will only widen the gap even more.

i'm a registered democrat.  I have been so since I registered when I was 18.  Over the years I too believed in equality.  But as a grow older I now realize that there are many, many people that have their hands out looking for a free ride.  It could be anything from getting excited to go to the grocery store and the clerk forgetting to ring up a $1.00 item to getting away with not paying their taxes -because all their income is under the table - and still being able to collect their government supplemented checks and follow allowance, to those that just plan lie about their income to get the free lunch services at public school.  There are people out there and it seems that those individuals claim the "it's not fair" and we need more equality.  Those upper class folks don't need all that money and then should share with us that have none.  I really do not understand this concept.  The upper class are rich because they work!  Sure there are some families that inherit money - because a older relative worked hard to make that money.  Everyone has a right to make a comfortable life for themselves.  It just comes down to how hard you want to work.  It's America!  and this country allows you to make as much money as you need to live a realistic life style.  The sad thing is that for some people there is never enough and the will never be happy.

You really don't know that.  You just know what you are told by CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC,OPRAH,ETC.  I write payroll checks and I see what they tax on.  If you were to work for me doing a job for a month and you received a $7500 gross, right now you would pay in taxes $1510 fed, $296 state of ca, $465 FICA,  $109 SDI & $60 MED.  Check it out for yourself.  $2471 would be taken from your check and given to the government to pay your fair share.  Now as a republican I would like to make sure that the money is being well spent.  I don't believe they need to tax people anymore than they already are.  Even the ones that are making over $250,000 a year. And your wrong, most people that make that much are business owners, putting money back into their business to make it and create jobs.   And as far as the white house goes, the congress and the senate which is Democratic majority is controlling the country. The country has gotten much worse in the past two years, ratings for the congress and senate are less popular than the president.  Fuel has doubled in price since they took control.  Nancy Pelosi stood up and made a great statement in which she said that they would now control the president.  And they do, and things are so much worse.   Well, I can't afford much more than I already pay.  So you keep thinking what they want you to think, but I have facts.  Republicans want less government, and all the demos want bigger government.  Go for it, pay up!

This is so very true!......at this time Both parties MUST agree on this so IF it fails NO ONE can blame the other!.......The problem is are they working for us or them selfs to stay in office?  I'm pissed...I and my family do every thing right, wall street got out of control.  After 911 people were scared of what could happen....well, ****..who needs terrorists when Wall Street is our own! I mean even with the Computer Insdustry bubble burst, Wall Street was not hurt that bad........the markets will adjust..it will take time, however, CEO's need to be held accountable along with their boards!!!!!   Enron should have been I eye opener.....NO MORE BIG PAY OUTS!!!  I would fire their ass and make so they NEVER Work again!!!!

At this point, I would LOVE to go to Washington and sit down with BOTH parties and tell them to STOP blaming one an other, SUCK it up and Fix this mess!  Stop bitching and just do it!

Ohhhh...I get so mad..sorry for any missed spelled words...I am working on my lap top today and my nails are long! LOL

All I can say for us as Americans...is pray, pray for this country, pray that we all  vote for the right person to be in office, pray that families can put food on the table, pray that our kids have a future, and that our governments can make us safe.  If you do not pray....start!
