Glad to hear Power got rid of the psycho parents, I know how distracting that can be. It sounds like they are all having fun again, isn't that what cheer is supposed to be about? Change can be good.
Agreed. I coach an all star team in Nor Cal as well and sometimes you just get really great athletes, parents and the staff just is motivated to come to work. When I say great athletes, its not their talent, but their drive to work and achieve success for the program, not their individual agenda's. It is great to her that Power is doing well. I am sure everyone will shine this season.
maybe the reason why those parents and kids left that gym in the first place was because they became "psycho" form listening to him for so many years

is he GOD in Nor Cal?
Apparently!!! His teams are amaze-za-zing! No other Nor Cal team can touch them - Good Luck John & POWER,
EVERY gym has people leave for one reason, or another. You can't please everyone.....but POWER does an amazing job with ALL of their teams. You can tell effort gets put into those minis, level 2 teams and their level 5 teams. I like that.
I agree, dont talk about him like he has not put nor cal on the map..there should be mad respect for him.
Thank you for taking the words out of my mouth...
So Cal Fan you too!!
POWER will be fine and I know they will be "ama-za-zing"!! LOL!! I cant wait to see small 5 (these girls are super talented) and international all girl (you go girls)!!
-A Nor Cal fan who is/was proud to be a part of the POWER family!
PS- John I'm a psycho cheer mom but you know you love me....

What an awesome response John. You didn't need to come on and say anything, but, as usual, you stood up and addressed the issue head on. The teams that are bashing POWER on these boards only wish they had half the talent that you do. I am talking about talent that comes from the owner, coaches and athletes alike. I have always said one thing about POWER....the girls work their butts off at practice and have a lot of fun doing it. I truly feel it is because of the respect that comes from the entire coaching staff and they are treated as "family". It is obviously a very productive atmosphere to create the magic you spoke of in your earlier post. Keep doing what you are doing and I, for one, will continue to give you my respect and applause.
When you say "PAC" do you mean Pride from NV? I never knew they went by PAC. I always thought they were Pride. I guess being from SoCal I associate PAC with the team from Orange County.
I was also confused because thought you were talking about PAC (Pacific Athletic Cheer) in So Cal as well. I don't know what teams they'll have this year, but I knew they didn't have level 5 last year.
