If  you ask me ccg is really a gym to worry about. As a fan of level 5 teams you have to see the real talent. Do not get me wrong but there are some So. Cal teams that just do level 5 to say the offer level 5 if you know cheer you may agree that all level 5 teams should have a quarter of thier team with a standing full and more 3/4 of the team doing a running and tricked out tumbling with a doublefull or at least a full at the end. Last year the teams that went to Worlds from Cali. just went and crumpled and did not belong the teams that did belong were those that deserved it and at least placed in the top 5. You got to admit back east they bring out the best and cali.'s got to do better and come out on top this year not just 5 but all levels and show what Cali.'s is made of Coaches need to but their teams in the proper levels and give thier teams the challenge and if they get better then move them up a level but do not put them in a level that do not belong in, have pride in your gym coaches and give the kids a chance to show you what they got and do not assume if you start them at a higher level  they will win. Competiton is here and all teams in each level especially 5 got to show your talent and show that you belong if not you might as well kill the sport all together because we want to see the best not sit there and yawn. yawn

I'm not from CA (california all stars) nor am I really a fan but I do have to say this, they didn't have a quarter of their team do standing fulls or 3/4 doing tricked out passes to doubles yet they took home second in the world.

What CA has is an understanding of what judges see and what they don't see.  They know how to highlight their strengths and hide their weaknesses and make people believe they have more talent then they really do.

You don't need to max out your skills.  You need to have good kids with good coaches and a good routine.

In a way I agree with you but earning your placement you should have the skill. And true you have to hide the weaknesses but 1-2 people can not carry a whole team and as far as coaches your right it deos take great coaches so whats wrong with all the other cali teams that did not make the top 5 who do you blame for looking the way they did the coaches or the athletes?confused Because I know some gyms have some good coaches and make good decisions but others just like to jump on the level 5 band wagon.hmm

to clear up the whole CF ray jasper thing. he did come out last year about a week before worlds to clean stuff up but he did not change much other than add in a few motions for transitions and stuff. he mostly cleaned up stunts and pyramid. This year he choreographed all 4 of Cf level 5 teams (small 5, small small coed 5, jr coed 5, small intl 5) so they are very different than they have been in the past

about CA and power i know people on both programs and i know they will be very good this year. power is only going to have a small 5 this year so i bet that team is stacked with all the amazing girls from large last year and i know a few people on CA small 5 and they have some talent and definitely know how to highlight their skills very well.

so i guess we will just have to wait and see but i bet the winner changes around every comp they all compete at together depending on who hits. I do not know about AZ Power but they are always good so add them in there too

I would love to see all 4 hit perfect routines and have the judges try to figure that one out but dont know if it will ever happen

hope this cleared up some stuff

Now it is true that he did have crossovers and that he did move people around after gssa, but he gave a chance for many athletes to take the floor at worlds when they may not of had that chance.  Maybe the actual routine may not of been what it was before the replacements, but in no way was it dissapointing, give me a break ,those kids deserve more then that.

This is hard to believe.  mayvbe some coaches did leave.  so what that would be true for every gym.   turnaround is always going to be there.  heck, how many of you started with your first job and then stayed with that job/company the rest of your life?  People grow up and need to find careers.  so they move on.  maybe they move on to other gyms but for the most part they move on because they need benefits and a 40 hour a week job.

It appears that the same executive power staff is still in place.  there fore the gym style hasn't changed.

sure they lost some athletics this season.  most of the time it's a good thing.  it's usually the athletics that give the coaches grief.   worse yet, it those cheerleaders with crazy parents or cheerleaders with parents that can't pay their bills.  All these issues become some other gym's issues and most of the time the prior gym is so much more happier.  good luck new gym.
