Yea, most of us parents didn't like the idea of being bought out. Especially to American. The whole deal was handled wrong but we are so glad that Xtreme Elite opened and we are doing great. We are one big happy family, and my child is loving it!

So exciting to hear about this new gym. I hope this season is as unpredictable as I think it will be. I love seeing the well known talent, but I thrive on seeing new talent that makes all eyebrows raise like "where in the world did THEY come from." Love it! Doesn't happen often but when it does it certainly sets the tone for the season.
doesn't OC stil have that coach from up north (no disrespect intended - I really don't know his name). Can any OC people tell us how things are going? Always loved your teams. Did your style change with new coaching?

I can't wait! So are the coaching staff from Stars Extreme the new staff of Xtreme elite?
Yeah we have 9 of the 10 coaches that came from Stars Extreme. That's why so many followed, because of our coaches. We also now have 3 more awesome tumbling coaches so we are very excited for our first season and we cant wait to see all the other new teams out there!

So American bought out Stars Extreme, but those who didn't want to be part of that joined another gym called Xtreme Elite that has 9 of the 10 coaches from Stars Extreme? Does Stars Extreme (is that what it is still called, the one bought by American) have many teams this season? Just trying to understand who is who before competitions start, it's so confusing sometimes.

No there is no more Stars Extreme just Xtreme Elite and American. It was not your average merger. It was ugly and nasty Poor kids, they went through a lot.....bad decisions by both new & old owners. The senior coed team went to worlds last year but they didnt have a gym after vegas because the SE owner sold the gym April 1st and they practiced at this small gym that was the size of about 6 cheer floor strips. The team went under an anonymous name because if they went with the new owners, they would've had to go without their coaches. (Most of SE coaches were not hired to finish the season with their teams.) As for all the other teams, we were told that our kids would have new coaches for their last compthey were devastated and pretty much nobody stayed for that last one. So Jamz ended up being our last comp, and needless to say, the kids, coaches, and even us parents were just a wreck that whole weekend. But everything is so much better now!!! Not to say anything negative about American, but it's just not what any of us wanted our children to be a part of. Now you might have a better idea of what really happened.......

Amazing. How horrible for your athletes. Its so sad when mergers take this road. I'm glad everything is working out okay now. It reminds me of a merger/takeover in NorCal....Almost identical stories.
