It's gotta be something in your browser.  Clear out your history and all your cookies.  Maybe that will help.

Thanks.  I know it has something to do with an ad that the website I'm trying to get on to has on their page, but I don't know why it happens.  What's wrong with the ad?  What type of ad is it?

I'm not aware of any ads on CPGB.

Acedad, I can tell you are a very focused man...the ads are on the bottom of the pages...and they're pretty big.  ;)

And to the person that commented on coachdj...RUDE!

Ah...Now I know what the deal is.  If you don't want to view the advertisements, you can change your board preferences.

Click on User Control Panel, then Board Preferences. There is a choice for My Board Style: choose subsilver.

Thank goodness it's a free country and you're not required to read.

the parents who have "families" are some of the same parents on cpgb and some of the moderators from prox as well. What catches my attetion is the "run by adults who think they are kids too." Thats crazy. You must not have spent very much time over there because the moderators are all verrrrrryyyy active members of cpgb.

Everyone just needs to stop. This is rediculous. Parents bickering over different message boards. If you are happy where you post, keep posting. There is no need for the extra drama over nothing. Acedad and C2w were very involved with prox up until recently where they kind of disappeared. They didnt make a whole stink about it, they just simply didnt post as much. Why? Because they like the environment on the cpgb board. People love this board that thrive on drama. That is what this board is about. Being able to post anonymously is the problem. People hide behind it.

Well said but a little ironic that you are posting anonymously---regards, ImFamous.

Correct ImFamous.

Growing up I always heard different strokes for different folks. There are different types of boards around the country. Even with ProX being down, more boards are popping up. ProX was not even the largest numerically but it was the largest as far as notoriety with people posting from around the world. If you look at it many of the threads on many boards started with a thread from ProX.

While there were some good things I personally found about ProX, there were many things I was critical of. It became better for me to read than to post because if i posted honestly it would cause too much trouble. I definitely clashed with all the moderators but one or two. I have found this board to be better to post my honest views about issues in the sport without it being automatcially assigned that i am talking about a program instead of a problem.

For those that obsessed on trying to make a name for themselves, drum up new choreography or music business, being in the know, name dropping, speculating on who the top teams in the country were, it was a happy home. You could start an opinion poll about your own team and make it look like someone else had started it. To me personally those things are not a priority or why I coach so it didn't sit well with me. Now if I was 20 and trying to make a name for myself in the cheer world, ProX would be the place for me. Since I have never been motivated by making a name for myself or caring whether people were my friends or not, it doesn't speak to me.

I guess because i have seen/heard many of these same arguments about rules/uniforms/membership #'s/leveling/recruiting back in the USGF/USAIGC war days it is deja vu for me.They are no dfferent 20 something years later..just talking about cheer instead of gymnastics.

I WAS one of the moderators "over there"! I did have a prox child, before it started getting creepy. LOL  When the family thing started getting silly/stupid is when I bowed out of Prox Family times. aww

Oh, I posted Anony because I can't remember my original log-in. weirdface

Actually being able to post anon is not all that bad. Sometimes some of the things you want to say that are the truth don't sound very good...especially over the net when you can not truly explain how or where you got your information. For example I know a team that went on You Tube and literally did our Senior Small Level 5 dance routine from 3 years ago...complete with the same music...did not even pull out our voiceovers. If I wanted to call their name out I probably would not do that under my sign in, but anon. It is still true whther I post under my name or anon but people have issues when what you speak publicly is not politically correct. You can usually tell the anon posters who have some real concerns and depth to their responses as opposed to those ones who just want to start trouble all the time. Any post I have made on any board that I do not care about you knowing my gym affiliation is tied to an e-mail address...flipkidjudge, njgymratnnc (Prox) and tumbleyoda. I don't do the anon posting.

Posting on ProX was hard to do anon because they would get on the people for posting under aliases but many of the moderators had them too. So did many of the frequent posters who were friends with the moderators. So it was okay for one group not to identify themselves or their gym affiliation whenever they wanted to be negative about anyone or any thing but anyone else was ridiculed for it. You could be speaking with a moderator and not know it over there. If somebody used your computer, it would be quickly insinuated that you were using an alias...happened to me with a family friend whose daughter cheered with our program. My thinking was and remains that if the only ones that knew what the IP addresses were are the moderators and someone who was not a moderator made the accusation then a moderator had to tell them. When you found those people were friends of the moderators or became moderators it only reinforced that thought. I could care less that they talk privately or publicly, but that also reveals that at times they were not as objective and unbiased as they claimed in moderating the board. Just as I wasn't in not accepting some of their rationalizations.

The family thing...too crazy. That is why I did not fit in over there. I already got a momma and daddy. Don't need no other ones...not even for pretend. Hopefully every one will land in a place that meets their needs and will give them the information and outlet they want.

As of now, no one knows.  It's been off-line for quite a while now, so I don't think that looks good.  Hopefully CheerXS figures out what happened and it comes back.

I have been in contact with Craig (owner of CheerXS). He says that the forum will not be back in its old form. They are working on an upgrade to the CheerXS site, but the host doesn't do message forums, so progress will be very slow.
