Nor Cal is having a co-ed lv 4 team this yr

I heard that Nor Cal has a 19 or 20 year old that is competing on their senior teams with them this year. he says he is 18, but he complete high school in 2 years ago. Are they going to go Open then?

Hi this is that 18 year old you all are talking about yes I graduated high school in '07 and will be 19 in September. I am of age this year to perform on Nor Cals senior teams I do admit that I am out of high school, but I also enjoy the family I have on the team and am finishing out my senior year of cheer. For those who feel that I should do a college team and why would I want to cheer with little kids, I do do the nor cal college team in addition to the senior teams and I enjoy cheering with younger kids because it is a great experience. And either team I am on I am around kids my age. I wish all the teams and athletes the best of luck!

change your myspace page to reflect your cheer age

I was thinking the same thing....why would he post that he is 19 for cheer, then say he is 20 on myspace? hmmm....

why would you put an older age on myspace when it's to connect with your friends?

It is very responsible for this athlete to post an explanation. However he does not have to explain himself to anyone. If his age is within the rules, it's allowed.

What a person posts on their myspace has nothing to do with cheer. It's called myspace, not YOURspace.

My myspace says I'm 90+ years old. omfg.gif You should really call me out on that. And when you do, maybe it will get all the way to Denny's Corporate Office. They'll see they have over-charged me for years; regardless of what my legal I.D. states my age is. Maybe I'll get the senior price for my grand-slam breakfasts from then on hungry.gif.

Cheer rules = general public info
Personal my space page = notcha bizniz

But out of this person's business.

And to the "owner" of the my space page - stop answering their nosey questions.  They don't deserve your answers.   If what've you've told them isnt enough then that's too bad for them!

It makes sense to put an age that is way off....after all, that's what all the 12 year olds on myspace do...but why would a 18 year old put that he is 20? hmmm

Most of the info on my daughter's myspace page is incorrect including her age which she bumped up by two years.  Did I have her correct anything...no.  All I want on it IS misinformation.  Her friends who know her know the correct info.  Not trying to put a bio for a stalker.  I had her take anything off that WAS correct.

maybe she is too young to have one? she doesnt have to have misinformation because you can set it to private where only your friends can see...if you dont want someone seeing your page, make it private and don't accept their friend request. it's not that hard!

What's the point of having a myspace if all of it is misinformation?

She is too young to have one.  She set up without permission and put EVERYTHING that someone would need to come find her with.  We sat down and changed it to show for instance that she cheers, but not where...I guess that is what I mean by misinformation.  Took out pics with team name on shirt.  She shows that she is from New Zealand.  Clearly she is not if you look at it, but I really don't want to name our town.  She had her birthday, where she goes to church and so on.  Several kids at a sleepover stayed up setting up accounts with pretend ages.  Rather than making her delete it, we made her really modify it to teach her privacy vs. letting it all hang out.   I check it periodically and she has kept it "safe" and set it to private, but I guess my point in posting is I can see where the age thing gets off.   Yes, you can let it all hang out on myspace, but people will be judging you on what you post.  I am all for innocuous.   Fab Five movie?  Yuck!  I hate that she has it, she was punished....lost computer for a month, but this is the world as it exists.  Everyone is online, so she needs to learn how to do it safely.   And I am struggling to keep up with it myself...that's for sure.
