im not sure of the other teams. i know there are a couple level 4 teams and some youth and minis but i am not sure of them
Wow! are they planning on using a lot of crossovers?
i dont understand why gyms go level 5 just to go level 5, if i remember correctly oc had a large senior 5 tam last year that didnt have enough talent to be large so they went small and still didnt look that great so why try to make 2 level 5 teams?
Gyms go level 5 for status, recruitment and Worlds. Seriously Worlds has RUINED all star cheerleading. If your gym doesn't go, they are talked about and gyms recruit kids specifically for that event. I felt there was less drama without Worlds and all these levels.
Yes, but I think Worlds was created because instead of there being one Nationals, every organization had Nationals, then every organization had multiple Nationals, and Super Nationals and . . . well you get it. I don't think Worlds ruined all star cheerleading, I think it made it better. With everyone striving to be the best at one major competition, it brings up the skill level for everyone, rather than having lots of mediocre teams winning so-called nationals with only a few other mediocre teams in their division, gyms now know what it takes to get to Worlds and to do well at Worlds. I think over time we'll see much better teams coming to Worlds.
Well some go and they lack, but by luck many get a bid. The truly best teams in the world are where the sport is respected the most. That would be Texas, Kentucky, Florida and New Jersey. California teams are just lucky to get bids. And I think for all the Ca mega gyms and small gyms it's just nice to get a bid. Great job California!

In the same post you say California teams are just lucky to get bids, and then add on great job California. I'm not sure what you're talking about, didn't California All Stars take 2nd?? Luck had nothing to do with it.

I believe they were talking about California in general not California All Stars. Supreme, airborne, nor cal, victory, etc. all got bids to go when we all knew that wouldnt cut it and they didnt. They got lucky

You must have been under a rock for the last season... as a state overall california had more teams place in the top 5 than all of those states... CA alone had 3 silvers, Pace Empire got silver, So Cal and Cheerforce got 4th... so i think california is doin alright as a whole... now there are a lot of gyms here that are still playing catch up but thats no different than any other place in the country... the "california is behind" story is over and we made that VERY clear at worlds, and i think it will be EVEN MORE clear after worlds this year... this is the year for a GOLD in california, and hopefully more than one!

Believe me I think CA did really well. And when I posted I said most teams, not all teams from California. So relax. And still, how many teams did California all stars send? And how many first places did they get? Texas, Kentucky, New Jersey and Florida are ahead of us. They just are. The population of these states is nothing compared to California so we should be sending more teams that win. I know that some of our mega gyms bring kids in from other area and states to try and win, you probably know what gym I am referring to. But they still can't bring home a Gold. I know Cheer Athletics does the same thing, but they bring home Gold. Every year. Top Gun every year. World Cup every year. Gym Tyme every year. I rest my case. I want California Teams to bring home a Gold, every year.

Who are you??? You are extemely contradictory. Did you read AChamp's post. California as a whole is up and coming. Rome wasn't built in a day. Since when is Silver got fan-dam-tastik? Sure California (the state and the gym) want gold but it will come when in it's time. I'm sure hoping this year. If not, it's still on the horizon. Gyms are made up people from all over because those people feel its worth it or feel honored to travel to the gym of their choice. But in the end, who cares where they came from. Either teams have talent and work cohesively for the win or they don't. Stop the drama already.
I can't wait to see the talent out there this year! My expectations are high for all, from the west coast to the east coast to our sister countries and continents.
