Good for them, nothing wrong with crossovers. I don't know of any organization who doesn't do it. If it makes your teams stronger and it's legal, you would be foolish not to take advantage of the opportunity.
thats is sad if you have 2 kids doing all of the majority of the tumbling.

Oh ya, why? I saw the team. Almost the whole team tumbled. I only saw a few kids that did not tumblel. The two or three strongest kids of course had the final passes. But isn't that the normal?

Yeah, but they weren't a strong level 3 for all the mess they were talking last year. I was a little nervous when our team competed against them because they kept talking about how they had the best youth 3 team in the state. When we finally competed against them, I was surprised that they were so level 1/2 with a couple level 5 tumblers.
I an loving our new youth team this year, they are working out like little soldiers, it's very cute and suprising that some of the kids moved up from our younger team and they are hanging with the best of them. I am so excited for this year the youth and mini divisions will defenitly be exciting.
You only make yourself look bad with such petty comments like these. Bring it to the floor and try to prove yourself that way instead. Nobody makes comments about gyms who aren't noticed or don't do well at competitions, so you gyms who are being bashed, take it as a compliment. Someone for whatever reason wants to make you look bad to help them look good. How sad is that?
I don't know about nor cal, but I know our gym and others are waiting until after this summer to determine the levels; we have girls getting new skills every single day.
I definitely think the quantity of youth and mini teams has gone way up - proof of the growth of this sport! At every major comp we went to last year there were 10 or more minis and Youth 2 probably had 15 or more teams.
To the posters a few replies above...what the heck is wrong with you people. You are talking about CHILDREN for heaven's sake. Cirticizing children who are spending in time in the gym getting physically fit and trying to do their very best! To them this is the MOST important things in their lives and you come on and talk garbage because of ADULTS. Go look in the mirror and wonder what kind of person you have become!
