But the question is, why?   Let  your kids have the glory and attention, why do you feel the need to as well?

Because some of us have a husband that may be 35 but can still do a ROBHS whip full...that's why

Absolutely and the athletes love it.  Some of the other athletes were coaching their parents and not being easy on them at all.  It's great!  And, like you say some of the parents have way talent!!  fun all the way around!!!!!

I see more parent teams that are out there shaking their "cheese" rather than performing ROBHS whip fulls, which is why I don't like to watch them, and like Bladezmom won't go out and shake mine disbelief

wow picky, picky picky! I was on our gyms parent team. I got to meet parents that I would have never met and I got a WHOLE new respect for the WORK my kids do. It was not easy but it was so much fun. My kids fully supported my choice and were cheering me on. We got to trade places for a little while. They got to experience the nerves and pride of a parent and I got to experience the nerves and the pride of a cheerleader and a  routine well done. Do not judge what you have not done. And guess what? I am doing it again this year! Don't like it? Don't Watch! but Don't put me down for having fun. I don't make fun of ANY team out there. You should try it!

I think it's about fun and not trying to take any glory from the kids!! Let the folks writing the checks every month have some fun too!!!

You go girl!!! :  )  I love watching parent teams they add a whole different Flair.  And all the stress that day, is not only amazing to watch but some fun laughs. I saw the parent teams at spirit club international comp.  Seemed like the parents were having a fun day.   And I enjoyed them!!!

Why Is Everyone Saying That These Parent Teams Take The Glory From The Girls? They Really Don't. It's Not Like People Go To Competitions To Watch The Parent Teams. It's Just Something Fun To Watch And Lighten The Mood After A Competitive Day. If You're Embarrassed By Your Mom And Dad Going Out There And Having Fun Then Maybe You Should Be Embarrassed Of The Amount Of Money They Spend To Put You Out There.

I think parent teams are so funny... I love them they really try so hard and I would be on one, but I am so clumsy I would probally break my dang neck or something crazy like take the whole pyramid down.

Cheerfan2008: people are just so uptight now days that they forget how to have fun, especially at cheer competitions... But I LOVE parent teams
