what exactly is the fuss about? Obviously we continue to allow our girls to cheer for the same selfish resaons the owners allow bad coaches to coach... THE FINAL RESULTS..... Everyone wants to be #1 so wrong furious

Owners who allow bad coaches (moral/legal issues) to coach are stupid. THey are just putting a time bomb in the middle of their gym which will may go off and take their livelihood with it.

You are making an assumption that I was posting about a specific situation. I am not 'hating', just making an general observation. I have no idea what gym, coach or situation you are talking about about.

Back to topic: Gym owners need to call the previous gyms. The previous gyms should be able to give you an actually assessment of the protential employee. I know that there isn't a gym owner out there that would want to give the potential employee a bad reference out of spite - hopefully, they can keep it at the professional level. That's just not the genetic make up of a gym owners, I don't think. But there are ways to ask questions and respond to certain questions that would be able to send out the right message without feelling like you handed out a bad reference.

The number one question I always ask is, "Would you hire this person back?"

Actually for me, being as I live 1400 miles from California, I was actually thinking of a situation no where near California. I really wasn't trying to point fingers or cause drama anywhere within the state of Califorina!!!!!!!!!! I keep up with the Cali boards because I lived there a few years back and enjoy reading about teams we used to compete against.
