they werent a mess but they werent clean and there was way to much going on all at once to even enjoy it
actually the judges comments and our scoresheets say differently. top gun i agree was veryyyyy clean in all aspects..but the judges must've also liked something about cali coed's routine because clean did come up more than once..sloppy teams don't make top 3 and that's just the way it is.
I didn't go to worlds only watched CA's video. Thought they were awesome. You should be very proud of all you accomplished. You just have to ignore the negative nelly's out there. Most people are happy for you and applaud your second place finish. Who knows maybe next year you'll take first. Wouldn't that be something. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
agreed. not many youtube videos can make a person smile the entire time but your performance truely did that to me. It was like i could feel the energy from you. awesome job to all the bullets teams. You all have truely proved yourselves.
CA should be careful, people are gonna get over hearing about how great they are real quick.
I know I am already. anyone else?
why are you so positive that CA is commenting on themselevs?? you dont think people just enjoy there rutines?
and why the need to be careful? i think everyone is sick of talking about certain programs however by yourself and myself adding our two cents on this thread we are contributing to what you dont like.
Bottom line is until some rule comes out that says a certain percent of your team cannot be on another team at a higher level nothing will change. My opinion is if at least 75% of your team is at the appropriate level (meaning they did not come from a higher level team) it should be fine. Let's take a level 2 team, for example. If the majority of the team is truly level 2 there is nothing wrong with adding higher level athletes to fill in the gaps. They are mentors for the others and you would still need the majority of your team to perform their skills (and cleanly) to win. What really bothers me is when you have a team that has been performing all year, and then right before Nationals athletes with higher level tumbling are added in and don't do anything in the routine except tumbling passes. Injuries are one thing, but when you have the same members you've had all year (no injuries or replacements needed) and then additional members are added just for padding, it doesn't seem right at all. But again, it's all legal, what can you do?
Ya but within the age requirements right not like some teams using 10 year olds on a mini team right?
Whatever! CA Bullets is great and at the opening of the season they always BUST! Their small senior team's trademark is never tumbling, its dance, clean stunting and fast moving routine. Thats what gets them through. If your going just on on tumbling alone Pro Spirit, Woodlands, ICE, and Rays have them beat. Now they may have recruited some athletes and stepped it up, but from their previous years I can safely bet it will be the same way. I always love their dance sections.
OK i had to reply to this because seeing things like this really irk my nerves; First of all..CA does not always bust in the opening of the season..of course the rotuines arent all flawless..but hey..liek you said it's the openign oof the season..when u have that much talent and skilled jampacked into a routine that hasnt been practiced for months and months..of course there will be mess ups..there always are with the top teams/programs int he beginning of the season. Second of all..if you really wanna get technical on the tumbling bit..they clearly threw 5 gorgeous double fulls in prelims and finals at worlds..your World Champion Rays threw 4..(if you wanna get technical). CA sm sr elite was AMAZiNG last year and yeah im sure "that's what got them through"..all the way to silver? No..they are on top because they are clean and precise at EVERY aspect of their routine..they don't choreograph things that won't hit when it matters (worlds)..they have amazing technique in tumbling stunting motions and choreography..THAT's what gets them through. ANd i will say this once and only once..CA does not nor has it ever "recruited" it's athletes..i've cheered there and worked their..you would be surprised at how many kids call and inquire to join, or email..there is no need for recruited..kids have in the past and will continue to flock from all over the state to be a part of the program. SO you might wanna check that bet of yours..because i can assure you that you are wrong. ;)

Plenty of kids inquire on how to join Cali, but I also know kids who have been recruited by them. As much as we might think we know what is going on, we don't know all the behind the scene business stuff that happens at a gym.
if im not mistaken two of cheergyms.com most talented cheerleaders left to go to CA even though the gyms are 8 hours away from each other im not sure how that will work out recruited or not, its alot of time and effort from the athletes.
i agree if im not mistaken cheergyms.com pyramids senior black level for last year was a small team competed all year with NO cross overs and still mangaed to beats powers large level for of 36 girls at jamfest nationals last year. so u dont need cross ovcers to fill ur spots.

are you talking about the level 4 team from pyramids last year who had most of their members on their level 5 AA team too? you must be talking about another team or maybe I don't understand the definition of crossovers
The crossover situation won't change until every competition stops allowing them. Right now, I know USA and Worlds don't allow crossovers. If every cheer organization holding competitions did the same, it would eliminate the whole situation. I don't know if they'd ever do that or not, because they make money from it.
i know her child competes with so cal elite however her family was at bullets at one point in time. Maybe thats why all the bitterness?
I didn't read any bitterness from her post. She just simply stated that while CA does get many interested people coming to them, the gym also recruits.

yes but how ever, the way the all american team worked last year was u had to be on a motions, ap, or pyramids team to be a part of the all american program. So there was bound to be cross overs. but this year is different if ur pyramids ur pyramids if you're aa than ur aa. Not all level four girls were level five cheerleaders crossing over i think only about 7 of the 18 girls on level four last year actually had fulls. and i think the cross overs they were referring two were if u have two team both called (for example) all-american. One level 5 one 4 and same people competing on both teams

Ya thats what i was thinking, that she was from so cal. Not trying to imply anything about that gym, they are great. I just think i have a pretty good idea who she is lol.

It doesn't matter where her child cheers at you MORON.
The FACT is CA DOES recruit.
They call your child and offer them FREE TUITION . They email your child and offer them FREE TUITION They speak with your child at competition's and offer them FREE TUITION. They let gym owners train up athletes and offer them FREE TUITION.

Thanks Tamara. I am not bitter, have absolutely no reason to be, and didn't intend for it to come across that way. I think I pushed somebody's button.
I do want to thank the young man who pm'd me. You are a bright young person who is truly dedicated to cheer, your gym and your education. Best wishes to you!!
