ok i am not apart of CA but please people lets be mature i think i have seen 2 of their lower level teams with like one person from a level 5 team tumbling in it. their is no way they are "requiring" all their level 5s to cross compete on a level 2 team that is just rediculous those teams would be insainly good. please stop starting stupid rumors to try and bash a powerfull gym. battle it out on the compitition floor not on the message boards

Hear! Hear!  or is it Here! Here!

I really don't know, and I'd also like to know why is it the one it is?  Thanks!

If you watch the CA videos on youtube you will see tumblers who only tumble in the routines who are quite obviously tumbling below their skill level.

Yay, a voice of reason. clap.gif

Now, back to the matter at hand.  I can't wait to see Victory Cheer's level 5.  I think they will surprise us. I also hear that PC has a level 5 this season but I don't know if they are jr or sr.  I assume Sr.  Anyone know?

Fierce Legend had a rough season last year. Starting as a large 5, then going small... competing a week later as a small... that had to be hard. Im sure it has made them stronger than ever. I have friends at that gym, they have told me that Legend is amazing already. Im sure they will be back better than ever before. Im excited to see them as well. smile.gif

They are starting out this season better than any season to date with this team. This season is almost all new, with new people and young talent. I'm very excited for this season, I have a good feeling about it. :) Those kids are definitely at the level they should be this time of the season. Just as much as any other level 5 small team right now. Can't wait!!!

Stepping off the mat at Worlds is not a deduction I heard is that true? Isn't hittin a perfect rountine not stepping off??? I saw TopGun step off a couple times...

Hitting a perfect routine is doing whatever the scoresheet says to do or not doing whatever it says not to do. If World's doesn't care about stepping off & Top Gun stepped off...it doesn't matter.

So it really doesn't matter at Worlds if you hit perfect...Perfect is not stepping off the mat in my book...

Perhaps but it's not your book that matters.

didn't say mine mattered just noticed that their routine wasn't perfect....

IDK what planet you from but a routine dosent get any better than that

Agreed! Even if they stepped off the mat (which I noticed as well) and I love CA, but Top Gun was superior! I am jaded from watching all star cheer for so long, I was seeing them for the first time and thought what can they do that I have not seen before. I was waiting to be blown away.... and I WAS! They were unbelievable from start to finish....step out, who cares, their difficulty level was higher even if they received a deduction for it. I can't stop talking about how they were like rock stars that day. The crowd was going crazy chanting their names, kids were offering to buy their shirts, backpacks, having them autograph their arms, etc. I have never seen anything like it. Great job guys and girls...

A huge fan from Northern Cali

I think its really funny that when people said ca small seniors didnt have the difficulty to place that high people on here said a clean team should place higher than a messy team but when it comes to large coed people on here say ca was better even though top gun was cleaner lol

With the level of difficulty being shown at every level, what surprises me is to see how all the teams grow each year, the complexity, the choreography, and all the ways the teams and cheerleading overall keeps evolving.  These kids pour their heart and soul into their performances, the coaches cheer on these kids like they are their own, the families support them at competitions like they're rock stars.  It's dishearteneing when all this nitpicking takes place.  I love seeing how many teams are now breaking into level 5.  Yes, there are some rough spots, but wow - to see how the sport and these teams keep getting better and better every year and more creative - that's what surprises the most.  Bravo to every cheer athlete, tiny to college, level 1 to 6.  You are champs.  I'm soooo looking forward to the new season.

My thoughts exactly, Im over the gym bashing. Kudos to ALL the cheerleaders from EVERY level. You're all working hard, and it will show come comp. season. Im looking forward to seeing the new gym One Athletics, and also Pacific Coast because this is their second year going level 5; (their small 4 started off 5 last season, and ended up going to a 4.. idk why, doesn't mater though) also because they are coed. biggrin.gif
Im also looking forward to watching Fierce's level 5 too. Im hearing great things about that team as well. Also West Coast All Stars has a small 5 this year too, and then there is also the Merge between Starz Extreme/American cheer.... I have a feeling they are going to be amazing. Victory's small 5 was pretty good last year too... so much excitement in small senior 5 this year, it's going to be intense. wink.gif
