AA was 100% level 5? Full squad fulls and doubles? I must have missed that in the routine.

OMG! Did CG think those kids would stay forever because their names were called out in the routine? Oh please, that was so lame anyways. I am so sick of kids being slammed because they leave a gym. People, get over it! tThese kids have the right to go wherever they want and for whatever the reason they want. It is their own family decision. It is none of our business. There is nothing wrong with wanting to go to a better gym. Yes, CA is a better gym. I'm sure they will love it, work harder than ever, and love every minute of the opportunity they have.

CA is a better gym??? Yes they did awesome at worlds and yes they are good and will most likely be good this coming cheer season.  But the better gym.... Depends on what you mean by better gym.  I'm sure that the kids who choose cheergyms to be there home would agrue that point with you.

I think something to remember is that this view of leaving CG and going to CA is the choice of these two specific athletes,  no one that is not involved knows the reasons, this is not a personal attack towards CG, this choice is something made by two people not 150.  This is just life, things change and goals change, maybe we should all respect the decisions of these two individuals and wish them the best.  They have alway been loyal athletes to the sport and to question the loyalty that they have to CG is not right.  I don't know them personally but have watched them grow in the sport over the years.  If they feel that CA gives them a new challange, then so be it.  That will never take away from the memories that they have given to Nor Cal.  Lets wish them luck with a full  heart.

CA has never had full squad anything in their all girl or coed routines. They have lots of people tumbling but its usually not the entire progam/and or Wolds teams. To be honest Cheer Athletic Wildcats had the best tumbling in the divisions, and the all girl divisions as well. CA Bullets and Top Gun both had members who didn't do level 5 tumbling. Just keeping it real.

This is an accurate assessment.  Now, let's try this game.  How about every person assess their own gym's level 5 skills and add your gym name to the below list if your team doesn't have Full Squad Anything, k? We already have, in no particular order

1.  Top Gun
2.  Cheer Athletics
3.  Cali Bullets
3.  World Cup (saw a girl mark her standing tuck but that level 4 huh?)
4.  Cheer Force
5.  Power
6.
7.
8........

....oh, wow!  That's pretty good company on that list.  (I'm being fececious) Full or Near Full Squad standing fulls has yet to be seen.  But believe me if Cali had it they'd be celebrating so loud from their gym people up north would hear them. LOL  Doesn't every gym have a goal they work toward though?  As long as everyone does their best (plus a little more if you're TG) what more can anyone ask?

For as long as I've been on these boards there's always some person who posts what they "heard" a team has.  It will continue into the season and get down right rediculous at some point.  Ignore them! Every gym has a strength AND a weakness.  If the coaches and choreographers are on their J.O.B. they'll work around it.  That's where the genius of your choreophy comes in.  Overall routine choreog plays a major role - not just throwing skills themselves, dancing and stage presence.  How well does is your level 5 team able to hide flaws?   Hopefully as well as they can highlight strengths.  I'm just sayin...

I'm being fececious about adding names to the list, not about the greatness of the gyms on the list. Just wanted to clarify.

Yes, I was the person that posted both teams threw the same skills. Someone had stated in an earlier post that the two athletes left cheergyms because their skills were not utilized. I disagreed on the basis that both CA and cheergyms throw the same skills. The difference is Large (unlimited) vs Small (limited) Co-Ed that's it. Level 5 skills across the board.

I stand by what I said. My opinion: trophy hunt. Want a 2nd instead of 19th. So be it. Whatever works for them and their family.

You act like wanting to be the best is a bad thing? And the work CA put into getting 2nd taught those kids lessons that will last long past their cheer careers.  Its all about the experience.
And even though i disagree with the statement strongly that both teams throw the same skills and their is no difference, it would STILL be a huge experience being coached by new coaches,  being on a team with new people and going past what they know to learn how other people do cheer.

Kayla and I didnt go to CA for a trophy hunt, Everyone knows that when a team places high in their devision they bring in even more kids. Kayla was already on all american and i had already lost hope of cheering this year. I began to talk to some of the guys that were on the team last year and they said that i should do the team with them and drive down/ride the train everyweekend. After i had decided to do CA i had ran into Kim kayla's mom and told her about my plans for CA she liked the idea of being on that team and kayla wanted to also.

So back to why i posted this. kayla and I should not be Hated on for leaving it was a decision we made. Us leaving had nothing to do with CG.com placing lower in a completely different devision.

This post is titled ALL AMERICAN 08-09. Lets keep this about all american and how amazing they will be this year just like in the years past.

Ya I don't think anyones hating on anyone Robert.  If they are then they're people who don't treally matter.  You and Kayla know that we all wish nothing but the best for you guys.  That's all that matters.  Any negativity that comes from all of this is not at all significant.  Family knows family.  All others are outsiders and speaking out of ignorance.

Go CG!
Go CA!
