Cali has 24 teams between 3 locations but they are still one huge family. I just want to make sure people understand that all 24 teams are not out of one location. I think what we may find happening after this season is that kids with level 5 skills who couldn't compete on Cali's level 5 team, due to lack of room on level 5 teams, may look consider returning to smaller/local gyms to be able to compete their skills on the appropriate team. That wouldn't be bad for CA, since their teams will be stacked to begin with. But it will be great for the dilemma that many smaller gyms are facing at this very moment. Perhaps the whole competition dilemma , or lack thereof, may only be limited to this season (I am not speaking of economy related issues - I'm speaking of the "mega gym" vs small gym issue) Not saying smaller gyms are "worried" per say, especially since it only takes one team to get that WIN. Just giving some positive input.
i dont really think i understand what you are trying to get at. most "mega gyms" have more than one location making them mega. cheer extreme has 6 locations with over 30 teams, top gun has three locations with i would assume around 20 or so teams, world cup has two locations with about 26 teams, ace of alabama has two locations with 23 teams. the only two gyms i would consider "mega" that only have one location are rays and cheer athletics. most everyone else has more than one location. as for the cali teams being stacked, i can assure you that they are not. with over 5 level 5 teams i can promise that anyone with level 5 skills are on those teams and are not crossing from team to team.

I was not insinuating at all that Cali crosses. I was speaking of kids who may be on level 4 and may not be able to get a spot on one of their level 5 teams due to the team being full. They have tons of talent. Just stating that their someone who has a full as opposed to a double may have to get their skills up before they can be considered for, let's say Sr. All Girl 5. There's no mention of crossing, since I really don't think there will be a need to. But if they do, it wil be no more than any other gym.
The clarification on 3 gyms was only that - a clarification for those who may not have known it was between 3 locations. There's nothing negative in my post. Please don't take it that way.
I think mega gyms are ok as long as not all small gyms merge. The more families commit to their small-er gyms and their goals the LARGER the talent pool will be at the small gym. I agree, we have to keep our options available. Otherwise, the only place to go for competition will be out of town/state...and I know we don't want more traveling do we?
What is considered to be a "Mega-Gym"? Name like 5 in California - do we have any?
It's not the size that makes them a MEGA GYM, It's the number of WINS
Not really a mega gym is a gym with lots of athletes period. Gyms like Cheer Athletics, Cheer Extreme and World Cup would fall in this category. Only gyms in California that fall under that category are California All Stars and Cheer Force. Maybe So Cal, Power, and a couple others are close but thats about it.
what about actual numbers for these gyms, (CA, POWER) etc..... how many athletes do they actually have?

califoria has about 550 kids, cheer extreme has about 800+, cheerforce has about 150 so cal has about 150,

Yea, I just saw that myself. Weird. If you knew the street they were located on, it would seem even weirder to you. It's on the OTHER side of the freeway from Mission Viejo but the Laguna Hills guys don't respond there.
I guess the Sheriff's Dept has the borders all screwy....
