Heck, a friend of mine and I have discussed splitting all that we can , including carpooling to the gym (when possible), to fundraisers, to comps, and sharing hotel accomodations. We're really trying to do what we can to make this season happen for our kids.

I like your ideas to. I'm hoping to get more as everyone posts.

NO YOUR WRONG. BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT SOLUTIONS. TRY TO FIGURE OUT WAYS TO ACTUALLY HELP PEOPLE THROUGH THESE ROUGH TIMES AND KEEP THESE GREAT ATHLETES IN CHEER.

Our gym put two teams together for the remainder of the season, this helps with carpooling and gas. This also helps with the staff only having to come down to the gym two days a week instead of four. I think its great that we can blend the teams together, this also gives our staff a real summer. Everyone deserves a summer!

I laugh because I am going to the gas station like every other day, but I refuse to fill up, I refuse. I put $20 in roll around, then back I go for another $20. Makes no sense yet somehow it makes me feel so much better.

How much is it costing you to travel to your gym each practice? I'm up to $30 per trip...YIKES! I don't know if I can handle future hikes in prices.

How dare you insult the intelligence of our service men and women. They joined the military voluntarily. It is their choice. They are adults and are capable of making their own decisions. They were brave enough to sign up knowing that there is always a potential to be sent out to serve. Those who have died did so fighting an enemy on their own turf so they we do not have to fight them on ours. They deserve no less than total respect for their hard work and sacrifice. Shame on you.

There are two viewpoints regarding the war and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I happen to agree with the post about if Bush had sons or daughters in the military we most likely would not be in a war. There were those who signed up BEFORE we went to Iraq. They signed up for the benefits of being in the military, the chance to have a college education paid for by the military, the chance to travel, the chance to have a job right out of high school. What they didn't sign up for was the chance they may not return. Don't assume that everyone signed up for the same reason.

Well said, Freedom fighters for sure. And they see what really goes on. 9-11 did happen, and I guess they think we are all worth fighting for. Thank God for them. I am just glad my daughters are free. Watch the military channel sometime and get a real take of how our soldiers are giving woman and girls a right to be treated equal in that country. And in other parts of the World. I love President Bush, I think he thinks woman are just as important as men, and they should be treated equal. So he has daughters, get over it. It's not just guys over there fighting for freedom, it is also many of our military daughters.

To whoever wrote this.......What planet are you from? The last time I checked a country's military was not put in place to collect money and get their colloege paid for. Sure this is a perk they are offered, however, the PURPOSE of the military is to protect its citizens from those that can do harm. Not to have a little job out of high school.

Here is your chance mommys and daddys, President Bush is trying to get drilling for oil off California coast. Wow, our own oil, what a great idea. Let your congressman and your senators know, we want to drill for sure. The crazy sierra club and other groups are trying to stop it, saying all KINDS of propaganda. If we get it the oil companies have promised cheaper gas.
We need to drill for oil now. China is now drilling in the gulf of Mexico and selling the oil to us at inflated prices, we aren't because of Washington Liberals. Please call.

Wow, you really believe what you are writing, huh? There is a reason the military has huge incentives to join (big bonuses, college education, chance to be, uh, all you can be). If what you say is true, they shouldn't need to offer any incentives for kids out of high school to sign up, they would do it just for the chance to protect us citizens. Come back down to earth, please.
