RE: cheer shoes

I love my Nfinities even though they don't hold up very well, and my bases like the grips on the bottoms

Nfinity owner I believe is tate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In any case he needs to hear from us all that his shoes are fantastic as far as the girls love them for stunting, tumbling etc...

But we parents are the ones buying them at this outrageously high price, which you don't mind paying! However they suck as far as stabilty and appearance. That's not ok! Its like buying a knock off for full price!!

Gym owners would you keep buying a uniform from a uniform company that contiously produces a uniform that falls apart and you can't get clean?

We parents sacrafice good money for competitive cheer and it bothers the hell out of us to pay for these shoes that fall apart so easily! Last year I bought 3 pair!! Why should any of us feel the need to buy super glue to fix a product we didn't design or get the kickback on?!

Again if the shoe lasted all season and you could clean the damn things take my $75.06 plus shipping with a smile! But that isn't the case. I don't mind buying a new pair every year, for safety reasons because of wear and tear! No problem. But 3 in a season hell no! That is ridiculous!!

Mr chalk we love you but cmon now enough is enough

the gym i just switched to wears the high reboks. first glance i thought they were so ugly. so i put off ordering mine. i love to tumble in my nfinitys.they are so light and amazing for stunting. then about a month ago while tumbling, i punched off my ankle the wrong way and got a hairline fracture. i just got my reboks and just putting them on i can already feel the ankle support! they might be a little heavier and harder to stunt with but i would rather be safe and not have anyone hurt.

Shoes feel differently for everyone.  The high tops fall apart fast too.  The front of the shoe is the first thing to go.  Then the sole detaches itself from the shoe.  Hey why don't we ask Tate to make a version of the high tops and Nifinties.

Yeah, they are pretty darn ugly...I think if you are taught proper technique, you shouldn't have to worry about ankles

I would agree. An athlete should have no problem with their ankles if they 1) had strong ankles and 2) were taught how to tumble correctly.  Do you see Carly Patterson and Shawn Johnson with shoes on when they tumble?

Well if we follow that logic than cheerleaders shouldn't wear shoes at all. I mean people who do acro don't wear shoes either.

I think sometimes it can be a "mental" psychological comfort to wear hi tops. And if that helps you feel more comfortable in the air or while tumbling than so be it. Likewise wearing niftys can be a psychological thing as well, if you think you'll feel "lighter" when you tumble.

People have different preferences (usually based on what they're familiar with) but in the end the shoe doesn't really matter.

The Infinity shoes are the ugliest cheerleading shoes I have ever soon. At least the reebok's look like a normal shoe.

are you kidding. 95 percent of the people who get these shoes have fallen apart. when we say fallen apart it doesnt mean the entire shoe comes apart lol
and how long has the evolution been out has it been 2 years now?  the genesis are def. the shoes that have been the biggest problem.
if your daughters uniform came apart would you blame your daughteridea

My daughter's shoes fell apart when the symbol came off of the shoe, it left a little hole and then the hole just kept getting bigger. The bottom of her shoe also got a hole, (which was kinda weird) because of that I guess we get two pairs of shoes each season, one at the beginning of the season and one in the middle, (but this is also for sizing (growth) reasons.

My daughter has had hers a year without falling apart.  However, she has barely worn them.  I know anybody who wears them consistetly will have them wear out way before other shoe brands.

My daughter wore two huge holes in the bottom of her shoes. I took them with me to Georgia and the owner exchanged them for me. I am a sucker for good customer service. This pair wore a little longer than the first, but her tread is totally gone after maybe 3 months of tumbling in them. No, she does not wear them outside the gym...she is just a mad tumbler :)

This thread is 2 years old! LOL

However, at coaches conference recently, the Nfinity rep said they have supposedly redesigned the Evolution to be better lasting, so hopefully that's true.

I'm curious if anyone has worn both the Evolution AND the Genesis and what your thoughts are? The Genesis is supposed to be wider through the toe area..how do they compare?

Ha ha, this thread IS old!

My daughter has gone from Power to Nike to Nfinity.  I would have to say my fav shoe is the Nfinity Evolution.  2 seasons ago we had the Genesis, it did not go well with my daughter and she had severe heel problems.  She hated them.  We seem to love the evolution though, no problems at all.  wink
