I agree that the Nfinity's are a great shoe. They are so light and comfortable. My complaint about them is that they don't last. My daughters were literaly falling apart by mid season. The sides were starting to spilt and the leather was scuffed and worn. By the end of the cheer season they were toasted. Mined you she only wore them for comps.
Im soo sorry, however happy to hear that other childrens shoes fell apart also. I thought what the heck was she doing to these shoes!! lol she too only wore them for comps.. thanks
I know...I actually bought my daughter 2 pairs of shoes just in case. But, both pair were in very bad shape at the end of the season....but, I can't say that we haven't had bad luck with other shoes also.
They fall about and don't last a whole season. She gets a new pair every season and uses the old ones for practice the next year. They are expensive and buying two pairs is a little out of the budget. Thank goodness the gym we are at now switched to a different brand.
I've feel seen quite a few of the kids where the old "high top" style soft leather reebok. Can any of the cheerleaders give input on using this shoe - it is lightweight, does it lend plenty of ankle support? My daughter has the infinity genesis and she loves them (I'll be sure to watch out for hints of disintegration) but I was considering the reebok because of how comfortable the shoe can be.
My daughter only likes to wear the old style Reeboks. There must be something about them as they have stayed around this long. She is a flyer and she said the ankle support they give her and the stability cannot be matched by another shoe. I also watched ESPN and alot of the top teams are wearing these Reeboks.
i've tumbled in both the reeboks and the nfinitys and IMO, i absolutely love the nfinitys. they are so light and i can feel the slightest movement in my flyers foot (helps me save stunts!)
the reeboks are just way to heavy for me. the only thing good about them are the ankle support. thats about it.
My daughter wore Infinity's for All Star cheer since they arrived on the scene. Now that she's going off to do college cheer, they wear the high top reboks. They way a ton she says in comparison, but she is finally getting used to them.
Yeah, the Reeboks are heavier, but they offer better ankle support (as someone said) and last longer. We've used Nfinity's in the past and they just don't last. You would think for the price you would get more out of them.....
My daughter loved them also. But they just don't last. I think it was two years ago we went to America's Best and the side of the shoe started separating from the sole. My husband ran to the store and got super glue. It worked and she was able to perform. Also used it on one of the seams on top that started to give way. I went up to one of the salesman at one of the comps and asked if they received many complaints about the shoes wearing out fast and he looked at me like I was a crasy women. Our gym uses Power Maxium Edge now and they are light and last. Plus they are not as expensive. I now carry super glue in my cheermom bag. Luckly have not had to use it sense. I'm happy.
My daughter will sometimes complain that her ankle will roll, but if you ask her what shoes are her favorite she will say the Nfinity's...she says they are the best to tumble in!
Sounds like we all had the same issues with Nfinity, light shoe but in the end if you have to buy two pair just to get through the season is it really worth it? Especially for those parents who have more than one child on a team. This year we are trying Kaepa's Hyperflyte, not as light as the Nfinity but lighter than some other and I like the look of it so we'll just have to see how it goes.
