I feel like Nor Cal Elite and Cheergyms have been very hush hush about their divisions and teams this year. I haven't heard anything about Cheer Odyssey either.

Cheergyms was one of the first ones to post their competition schedule, and CO has posted theirs too. This thread is about competition schedules, right? Not all gyms have finalized theirs yet, I'm sure by September we'll have a good idea where everyone is going.
hey deos anyone else go to uca i mean that takes all their teams? i know alot of people go to nca but do not take all thier teams is their anyone that takes all thier teams to nca and give thier other levels a chance to see what they have?

At titan we bring all of our teams to UCA except minis... i think SoCal did last year too... i think everyone else that goes just takes level 5 to get bids... CA brings level 3 and up to NCA and i think OC brought some of their lower level teams to dallas last year... most gyms dont bring all of their teams because its pretty expensive and for people that are new to all stars its kind of a big step especially if they are on a level 1 or 2 team
maybe they just don't know yet. I know nor cal has their level 5 try outs tonight. Everyone is so quick to assume things. Relaxxxx
I'm sorry I just didn't know all that information. I am just surprised people don't know their teams, divisions or competitions yet. At our gym, parents will have a fit if its not set early, especially the competition schedule. I guess other gyms don't have the same issues.
Actually I'm glad our gym doesn't set teams or divisions that early. As a parent I would have more of a fit if it was decided in June my child was a certain level and couldn't work towards something higher by August. It gave her incentive to work hard this summer.
I agree about the competition schedule; the earlier the better. You are more likely to have conflicts if you wait too long because families won't be able to change plans they have already made.

....trying to figure out how many cross overs they can have....

Yeah, its not convenient to hear "oh, by the way, you have a competition in velijo next weekend....or, you have practice tomorrow, its mandatory (when it wasn't on teh schedule)

Why should your child stop working even if she is on a level 2 or 3 team. There is always something to work on. Its funny because most kids are on a higher level team then they should be, especially here in California. Kids should work hard from level 1 -5, even if they are placed on a lower level team.
If they placed the teams in May during tryouts my child would have been on a level 2. But in the past few months she got her tuck, and almost has her standing tuck, so she has a good chance to be on the level 3/level 4 team. It gave her the push she needed. If she were placed on level 2 and knew that was where she was going to be all season, I know she wouldn't have pushed herself the way she did. Every gym is different, every child is different. This worked for us, it may not work for you.

Interesting.. I coach and we have level 2 kids working on punch fronts and tucks, but they aren't solid. Even though they compete at a lower level, we always work on advanced skills.
the two locations have not reached an agreement about the competition schedule. it would be nice to pass out the schedule so families can make thanksgiving and christmas plans.
I heard Cheer Odysseys Open Coed team is off the hook this year. 12 guys 12 girls should be awesome
so off topic.... but a team 24 members in a division that's maxed out at 36? Yup sound AMAZING!
Oh pipe down! A team can definitely be outstanding without maxing out the member numbers.
Actually International Open Coed is 24 members. Its only the regular senior divisions that are 36 members. I believe Cheer Odyssey is Open Senior International Level 5 from what I read.
