what's up with ca's camarillo gym? I heard it's falling apart, anyone know? i hope they can pull it together.

ya I heard all the coaches left and all the parents want to leave because of some crazy parent.

i dont know where you are getting your information but its not true. The camarillo gym is doing fine. One coach left, everybody else has stayed put. Speed Camp is this weekend for stunts and pyramids for the routines and everything seems to be moving. It is interesting that both of you "heard" what is happening at a gym that isnt yours. Good luck next season to everyone.

Heard the parent meeting got a little crazy

this is the problem, you "heard."

i really amnot picking on you because i "hear" stuff too however it is the posts about what people "hear" that realy causes problems on this board.

I dont find it interesting that they "heard" stuff about gyms that wasnt theirs, I hear stuff all the time from friends at other gyms. But there is no need to post them on here. It just creates more drama.

Here is my problem with your comment.

This board and all it's "problem's" is here for entertainment purposes. I am not picking on you. However I'm not sure you should be reading this board if your looking for a place that is all about sparkley rainbows and puppies.

It's comment's like the "heard" poster made that keep people coming back here day after day. It's like a car wreck. You just have too look.

Drama is what this board is about. This is NOT the Rest and Relaxation BOARD.

I dont come on this board for the drama. I come to see who won a competition i couldnt be at, to see what teams everyone has this season, to see what new uniforns people got, and things like that. Everyones life dosent revolve around drama like some people. Some people just want to have fun, make friends, and cheer.

I agree there is nothing wrong with crossovers, until you get Worlds. Then one of the teams will be greatly affected.

The gyms are about 30 minutes away from each other, but when you consider that they will be traveling there during traffic hour the commute will be about an 1 hour.

Are crossovers really that big of a deal?? I really don't think so. If a team is good they are good, who cares if crossovers are on the team or not. I think crossovers are a smart move for teams, as long as the family is commited to both teams. I really think all the drama from crossovers is fear. Why come on here and start unecessary drama about a team and their choice to have crossovers?? Why not just work your tail off in the gym and leave it on the mat. If a team is good enough the crossovers on another team shouldn't be anything to worry about....right??? There is no I in team....right??? and a couple crossovers aren't going to win the entire divsion alone....right??? So props to crossover kids and props to the teams who choose not have them. May the best TEAM (without an I) win.

I dont have a problem with crossovers. I think they are fine if they are on that team all season or are filling in for someone hurt. But, think its really dumb when coaches add people to teams for one comp just to win or things like that. I have crossed over before but it was for a whole season. I love to crossover i ask to do it every year.

Ahh good point, If a coach adds a crossover just to win at a certian competition and that crossover had not competed with the team all season, that might bother me a bit.  Or it could be looked at as a HUGE compliment, if you were the team they were trying to beat.  But I do agree, crossovers should be crossovers for an entire year with the exception of injuries.

They have several Jr. teams and they have over 9 crossovers switching between a level3 and level4 team.weirdface.gif Is this common to have that many crossovers or is that a lot?

I think it depends - are either of those teams small?  If so, then 1/2 the team would be crossovers and that woukd be a lot, but if it's a large team then only 1/4 would be crossovers and that doesn't seem nearly as bad.

While it's nice to have crossovers, IMO it adds to the confusion on competition day when both need to practice on seperate mats at conflicting times, or when one group is performing on the main floor and the other team is warming up.  Multiply by 9 hmm.

JMO The only people that have problems with crossovers are the athletes and parents that are at gyms too small to have any crossovers.
