RE: levels for next year ?

There is no drama with northern Ca. teams, I think/hope it is just some emotional kids writing petty bash items that need to be ignored.

Both Cheergyms and NCE have no problems with each other.  Each program has their unique differences, I love both of them. They will contiue to do well regardless of the numbers this season!

Awesome job AA at worlds! Great job NCE getting to worlds, lots of talent on both teams.  Wow how great would they be if they joined???

Thats another subject. I know both teams will have another great season!

I heard The SWAT program has a new gym and they are merging with another team? does anyone know who? Cheertyme maybe?

Cheer tyme owner you are on here quite a bit, is this rumor true?

My opinion if it is, you guys at ct are awesome program and you def. Don't need to merge w them. We love your gym and owners. You amy are in a class of your own as far as how others in the industry look to you. You get what I mean without me putting down anyone.

Keep strong ct

The rumor is NOT True, we have been approched by a few programs about merging, and we are totally flattered by the offers.  But we run our program so differently than the others in our area and I am a bit of a control freak (just ask my staff hahahaha) with that CheerTyme choose to stay "in a class of our own" as you said.  Sissy and I bought the program when it was at its lowest of lows and we have rebuilt it into what we have today, wich we are very very proud of.  I think our pride in what we have built is another reason merging would be almost heartbreaking to us.

SWAT did get a new gym, and the rumor in Vacaville is that they merged with a dance program called Bliss?  Like I said it is a rumor, but we have heard this quite a few times.  We haven't heard anything about the new 707 program, maybe they chose to join forces rather than opening a new gym??  Just a thought.

We are very excited about the new season and hope to stay strong with all the merging and craziness going on around us!!!

Good luck to all Nor Cal programs this year, especially those who are merging I hope they pull off the mergers flawlessly.

And thank you very very much for your kind words!!

Maybe this post should be about how many gyms have closed their doors? It's very sad really, esp gyms like RC who were around for 12/13 years. VCSC, who were an extremely strong program a few years ago. I can remember them being the "gym to beat" b/c they were such a strong program. I can remember years ago when my kids started cheering there were just a handful of gyms..VCSC, Power, Cheergyms (then known as Motions, Pyramids, 720 etc.), California Elite (now known as OC, if I'm not mistaken), California Quakes, Chino Valley All Stars, Titan Elite, RC Cheer, California All Stars, California Flyers, Cheer Force, DVAS, Gators (are they still around?), High Desert Cheer (Spirit Athletics), Magic All Stars, Champion Cheer Outlaws (now known as So. Cal. Elite), Supreme, and West Coast Mavericks. Thats quite a few, but it seems now that there are SO many new gyms starting up, and the Veteran gyms are closing?? Do you think that its because they are/were not cutting edge, or maybe parents and kids wanted a change for the better? I hope all gyms this season have a great year, and we don't see anymore doors closing. hmm.gif

I think it is sad too. I think some people realize there is not much money in cheer and that you deal with a bunch of problems, haters, gym hoppers etc....so you just throw in the towel and go have a better life with out all the stress.

AMEN!!  I can't believe how crazy this sport is getting!

Bottom line is the smaller gyms who are not part of a larger gym are struggling and eventually folding.  The larger gyms have more members (so they can field stronger teams), can sometimes charge less per member since there are more of them, and they have strong coaches.  Typically they are gyms who have sent teams to Worlds and know what it takes to be competitive.  Let's face it, it's too expensive of a sport to go to a gym that is just a small step above youth cheerleading (we've been there).   Of course not all small gyms fit into this category, but most do based on what I have seen at competitions throughout the years.   This is just my take on it.

Ok. Yes I did bash two (actually four if you include divas and legends) and yes it was tacky. Sorry. But i am pretty sure that the original post came from the coaches or owners of one of those two gyms since they were so upset about the Sr Coed 3 team placing higher than them at gssa. I apologise I was caught up in the moment. CA Crush and Fame good luck this year. NCE sorry for making the program look bad I am so proud of everyone and was caught up in the moment. weirdface

i am from (divas and legends) fame and i can reassure you that none of our members or coaches wrote that about nce. a win is a win and we are not bitter that the coed team took first.

Your so full of it.  Come on now.  Look at the big gyms, most of them can't even get a gold for California.  lol!  Spirit of Texas is a small gym and they still blow away the big gyms. lol!  your tooo funny!  And I watched some of those big gyms with all that talent from southern cali and it was like watching youth cheerleading.  Big gyms, big money and still no gold for california!   cry

Pace did bring home a gold for Arizona, not California.  Also, Pace Empire not even the size of ca or cf brought home a silver in level 6.  cf didn't even make it to finals with two of their teams.  so don't even go there.  ca stacked the teams from all of california and couldn't even bring home a gold.  Arizona is also small in comparison to these big california teams( with all their hype and money) and look at the arizona extreme team (wow).  cf and ca's staff was too busy warring.  So with the small gyms, look out.  And by the way, it's a new season and we will see what happens with these small gyms that aren't caught up in all the drama.

wow i dont know about everyone eles but i think this comment is rediculous. do you know how amazing it is to bring home 3 silvers from 3 teams! 2nd to top gun is a victory in my book and dont think for a second that top gun dosent have kids from all over florida and other states. it was cali internationals first year and only second time competing ever and to be the second best with mess ups is pretty amazing *by the way watch out for them this year* and then you get to small senior 57 teams!!! 2nd out of 57 teams is unbeilivable im so proud of those girls they went through so much this last year cf was also in that division and got 4th out of 57 which is also incredible they should be very proud. also socal elite took home a 5th in a divison that also had 57 teams! to say these arnt accoplishments and that silver isnt good enough is just rude all these kids worked so hard and your on here bashing their efforts. just curious what place your team got at worlds???
o and i dont think any of us big gyms are worried at all. trust me we are going to be just fineaww

not caught up in all the drama!?!?... LOL you just started drama... and YES LETS GO THERE... california all stars Got 3 silvers... true not gold but every team got 2nd... IN MUCH TOUGHER DIVISIONS THAN OPEN 6... for one allgirl had no competition and two coed was against one good team... the only powerhouse gym in that division BEAT THEM (Stingray)... third was china... CA international was in the open division with the most competition and beat many power house gyms including top gun... but its ok we will see how this year goes...
