I don't think it is all the parents that are like that, but there are a few.  I just want to know from a gym owners standpoint. To those few parents who are always in the gyms business.   Why do you think your worth the money you make?  I want to see your bank statement.  Do you as parents perform any kind of work that benefits children. Shame on all parents that  have a problem with this on behalf of the coaches and gym owners.  Leave the gym if you think they are riding to high.  Oh ,but consult your child because most of these athletes love their gym and their coaches.  They are in a safe environment with other kids that they love.

Ok, NO, not all parents are HATERS! I personally can say that I am happy for "anyone" ...Coaches, Owners, Parents, whoever that lives the Great Life with Nice Rewards!

But when a gym tells parents they are "raising their tutions because they are expanding their gym" or getting a bigger place" and this doesn't happen, then the owners daughter who runs the gym is taking tons of vacations, shopping daily and throwing in the parents faces a new Coach Purse and all her new outfits, then of course this will upset the parents because they were lied to.

Also, when a competition is cancelled and the owners daughter was asked about a refund from several parents, she tells them it cost the gym 6,ooo.oo to submit video's for 7 teams to be veiwed by the judges to get their bid for Disneyland?? So one of the parents researched this and found out that it only cost the gym 5o.oo per team? Hummm??

Then this gym wonders why so many are not returning this year??weirdface

So, I say... yes, live the good life, but don't lie and make empty promises giving parents a reason to question the integrity of the gym or the staff. Be honest!idea

Hey, how about the parent or child that tells you that they can't afford the comp fees for the second team they wanted to run on, and you walk out to the parking lot to see the parents brand new escalade. BE HONEST!  evileye How shady is that?

What about the parents who sit in the gym and smile and talk like their all that, but have not paid their cheer bill for two months.  Making false excuses everytime you turn around knowing her two daughters should be sitting out for lack of payment..

I agree there are plenty of those too!  They will give any excuse not to pay or to pay late but if you hit them up for a late fee-that is the end of the world.

NOT TRUE... ONLY IF GROSS RECEIPTS WERE OVER 25K, DID YOU HAVE TO S UBMIT 990.  LESS THAN 25K YOU DID NOT, BUT IT WAS GOOD TO KEEP ONE ON FILE.   NOW REGARDLES OF RECEIPTS YOU HAVE TO FILE

Well... My 4 Runner just hit 236,000 miles and has the check engine light on.  My goal is to hit 250,000 and then stop the car on the side of the road and do a toyota jump.

Oh what a feeling to say...TOYOTA! (if you know that jingle..you're old like me, LOL)

John,

Do you have to win everything?  You probably switched the numbers on your odometer much like you switched the ball on the 7th hole...

Well speaking from a parents point of view, I could care less what Coaches, Owners, or Parents drive... the only thing that matters to me is if my daughter is "enjoying herself and the passion for the sport remains in her eyes," AND... she is not watching tv 10 hours a day, or on myspace, or a PS3 junkie! aww

We are willing to fund raise, eat tuna for months on end or Hey!.. even cup of soups as long as she is loving the sport, and she thrives to be her best, then we will sacrifice to see her success!

As a matter of fact the tow truck is here now to pick up our truck! j/k But, yes, we would sacrafice that to for our children to achieve their goals, so yes, this sport is expensive but well worth what these kids are getting compared to what else the alternatives are...right?!
