Northern California teams

Ive heard some people say California cheer teams arent as good as some of the east coast teams. Is it true???? Ive also heard some people say that east coast teams are better because they have bad weather and there are not a lot of outdoor sports. Is it true??? Somebody must know!

okay this is my PERSONAL opinion about it. teams that are farther east have been around longer therefore are more developed and have roots where as teams farther on the west coast  are "new" or "baby" gyms compared to the years other programs have under there belt or where they have bridged from to make a new program. in that respect yeah some are better but definitly not all. on the cold weather thing, personally i think its more that theres nothing to do over there and everyone they know does cheer so they gravitate towards that and thats what they do from age like 4 to 19. thats my opinion

Well, there could be no "truth" to any of those questions because any answers will be opinions...

Think about it they are easy coast they really have nothing to do over there and we are west coast there is always something happening over here especially california its a fast moving state and everything here is fast. we are constentaly busy as far as east coast they go to the gym and hang out for fun and tumble! unlike cali kids we rather party, go to the beach, road trip to chico, la, SF,SB and whet ever else

People in California always think that other states don't do anything other than cheer. I know many people in the industry and they travel, vacation, ski, party, go out of town and visit the beach. I just think parents and families are more about traditions there, push their kids to be involved, and value commitment to what they are involved in. California people are just very up and down. One day they are involved, the next they are over it. Kind of frustrating.

double BINGO!  For those looking to find greener grass because your team didn't do as well as YOU thought they should OR my daughter has these skills so I am going over here or there.  Stop, think and be dedicated.  All the programs in cali are getting stronger and stronger.   Stay on your home turf and help to offer solutions to make your gyms stronger.  This will make Cali stronger in cheer.

Wow this is an awsome soultion, I would have loved to stay on my home turf, but if the gym owners do not show the same dedication to all there teams and members how can you build a strong gym.
