My presumption only: All the tumblers went to their large. When I saw POWER's Small routine, it lacked tumblers. It didn't have the WOW factor. This is JMO.
As the coach of the POWER Small team, I want to say AWESOME job to all my girls this weekend. They performed their best on Saturdayday and we were all thrilled to make it into finals. That was no small feat, as 20 plus squads were cut. Then on Sunday we had some health issues that we had to take care of before we FINALLY were cleared to perform. Lets face it, it was not the best performance of the year, but that is ok. They busted their behinds all year and were so blessed to be on that stage. They are a pretty young team and only 2 of the girls had been to Worlds before. They were proud to be there soaking it all in. Girls---- so proud of ya.
Stars Extreme had a girl with an injured knee. She was wearing a brace, so obviously it wasn't the first time she had a problem, but it looked like she recently reinjured it (warmups, maybe??).
Anyway, she hobbled out and, except for standing tumbling, hit EVERYTHING she did. She was a main base in most of her stunts.
One of the gutsiest performances I've ever seen.
I hope it wasn't serious and that she can look back on what she did with pride.
Thanks Acedad, we were all so proud of her, she popped her knee out of place in warm ups.. (pre-existing injury) im in 2 of her stunt pods and she was bawling.. but she stuck with it. she was determined to keep her flyers up. And we thank you for your kind words back stage, i think that was you.. i was with her the whole time..
Yes, it was me. I just felt that she deserved to know that there were people that understood what she had just done. Please give her my best.
