After the judges watching 4 hours of one category, I don't think you can put much on those placements of those who did not go to finals.....just my opinion
if they don't get it by now, they never will. all they have to do is look on the usasf site for the age requirements for all the teams starting with youth up to seniors.
not to mention that before you go to worlds you have to send in a copy of their birth certificates and photo ID.

Oh little steph...she is my daughter's idol on youth. She is old enough this year to compete Sr (and last year as well). She hits the bottom edge and if they continue to move it up one year at a time she will be old enough from here on out. Amazing, amazing, amazing young lady...
Steph, on homestead and Sr 3 and Jr 5 last season...just a minor correction to clear this up...another amazing young lady who by the way is having a momentary brain freeze on her standing back which she does have and will have again very soon! Love you girl.
NorCal you make us all proud.
All the Cali teams - great showing at World's. To see where cheer has come over the years is amazing (yes, I was looking at old pics today - Nelson I have one of you that I am sure someone would like to get their hands on starting bids?). To see Cali cheer competing like they are is PHE-NOM-E-NOL (that's for you Rachel)...
Keep cheering everyone and I can't wait to see what next year brings...

Karen from Legacy...you joined NorCal? After knowing how much Roy made fun of your gym? Even after he put on a LEGACY uniform and danced around the gym purposly making fun of you and your then team? Wow...
Wow! That is horrible to say.... After looking at the past performances at Worlds, it could be anybody's day. It is so funny how gyms get so ****y after a big win. If anyone of us take a glance at the major gyms in so california, their past award history will show... that some years are ok, some good, and some awesome! Come on people.....get a grip! In my opinion there a 3 great programs in Southern california....which ever one you choose... you have made an awesome choice! Let's not spoil it for other gyms. By the way... the gym that is boasting about winning silver....your Worlds stats didn't look too great in the past . So I would think you would be more humble with your winnings. You have not always been a winner. I have checked out your gym as well, and let me tell you....you guys have work to do as well. Just enjoy the moment and don't be so ****y. Your gym is the best to YOU! That does not mean everyone else does not think their gym is great too. Let's have healthy competition. Good Luck to all the gyms next season!

Why does everyone rag on NorCal so much. Do they have that bad of a reputation?? I also don't get posting a persons name on anonymous board. Seems kind of tacky.

WOW...now I know why people stay anonymous on these boards. Come on here one time in a million and SLAM! Anyhow, it is Karen from NORCAL now, yes. And yes, I used to own Legacy. Nice comment and very classy of you. Anyone who has kept contact with me knows why and how I made my decision. My guess is you know me since you know the uniform story...nice.
Not that I have any explaining to do to anyone. However, I will state that my daughter is very much enjoying where she cheers, thanks for asking since you know me so well. At the time there were 2 youth teams in the area for her to cheer on, one we tried the year before and it wasn't a good fit for us, but a good program for many.
Also, if you had such concern about me maybe you would just pick up the phone and talk to me. My number hasn't changed as many Legacy families know, we talk regularly.
Also, yes, I made the choice to coach last season. I had a GREAT time and I must say Roy and I had a great laugh when he pulled the Legacy uniform out of the office last year I am a pretty black and white person and we talked about what he did. It's over now. I missed working with all the cheerleaders in the area and had a great time last season coaching again. GO FAMA!!!
Do I miss Legacy? Of course I do but with a family of 3 little ones it wasn't fair to the Legacy families or my family to keep the doors open. As we couldn't dedicate the time to the Legacy families that they deserved as paying customers and my little ones needed their mommy. Speaking of the Legacy families, many of them joined NCE last season and more are joining this season. It is a great gym and a good learning environment for the kids.

I think that you might have been prematurely irritated. I don't see anything here that looks like the c-o-c-k-i-n-e-s-s you're talking about. I have to admit, I have seen it in other posts but why let the boastfulness of a few people jade your opinion of an entire program. I love these boards but sometimes I feel that the anonymous part of it is more harmful than good. People post really hurtful things and are even starting to drop names. How horrible! It's not just CA people, it's their "rival" too (you know who I'm talking about). Just be happy where you are and don't assume that the opinions and statements of a few represent the gym as a whole. To do so is insulting to those respectful families who are no different from you or me.
Well yes their were some rough spots but it was a great experiance to be out on that floor. As a senior all star cheerleader and First and Last time at worlds, i dont regret anything. I am proud about how my team did, even if it wasent perfect, i know we tried. And Airborne always has next year. But come on, for a young gym's first time at worlds, hell yea!

There are a lot more great programs in Southern California, with a lot less drama then the three you refer to. So get ready for a great year with some programs that are going to surprise you.
