Let's list what colleges give fullride or partial scholarships. So far we have Hawaii Pacific University, University of Kentucky, and University of Louisville. Any others?
haha i'm reading this new book that follows 3 college teams and it was talking about scholarships. i think sfa gives full rides .. or partial .. not sure
Oh good lord, there are hundreds. A lot of people don't realize it but if you do your research there are TONS.
Not tons of full rides though. I believe I read a stat that said that there are only about 60 colleges that give those. But there are tons of scholarships in general.
I know here in Cali theres San Diego State, Cal State Long Beach, Fresno State, and Azusa Pacific University. Im probably missing some.
USC gives small scholarships also but their cheer teams aren't exactly "cheer." There's songleading and now a spirit squad that isn't allowed to tumble. Only stunt. They have a club team that competes but i don't believe they are given anything.
Maybe you want to get more specific? Competitive, non competitive, ect? Or do you really want to go there? lol

Why are you so negative? Yes we can all do the research but I thought it would be nice to help each other out. On the other thread I read that there are lot's out there so I started this one to give everyone a headstart.
Kennesaw State in George gives full ride scholarships for cheer. I think most of the schools that do are in the south.
Many Cali schools that offer scholarships are only partial, but seems like it increases every year as cheer becomes more popular here. Also, many times it's tiered, for instance, Azusa Pacific increases the scholarship amount every year you stay in cheer.

Only a negative person would think that I was being negative.
I wasn't saying to do your research, like I said people do not realize how many scholarships are out there and so they say that there are not many scholarships in cheer.
Geeze. I was more than happy to provide an extensive list, just wanted to know what kind I should provide and how detailed.
But thank you for jumping down my throat for no reason.

I am sure there are alot of parents who would love to see your list. Please post.
Here are two junior colleges in Texas...I don't know if this is up-to-date, but the cheerleader can check to verify. Remember that scholarship offers vary each year. I know San Diego State University used to have early class registration, which is worth a whole lot to me, but don't know if they still offer it. Scholarships are there, but very time consuming to find, and then to sort through. Good luck with your search!!
Many scholarship avalible upon graduation, including $2000 transfer scholarship to any state school in Texas and scholarship for a TVCC cheerleader transfering to OSU.

Would it be more helpful if it was sorted by state, by amount (full ride, partial, book stipend, early registration, etc.), by type of college (university, college, jc), or by type of program (competitive, sideline, both, types of cheer, etc)?
I just don't want to throw information out and have it be unorganized and confusing or hard to search for in the future.

I would like to see it by type of program then amount then college then state.
UOP doesn't give scholarships, in fact when I cheered there last year I had to pay for my own shoes, sweats (they were maternity sweats from target), and transportation to the away tournament. None of my tuition, books, or anything were paid for.
