Does anyone have any other results. I know that these where not the only teams that attended. How did Riptide and Cheer Xplosion do?????
Don't know about Riptide, but CX results: Youth - 1st, Jrs. - 5th, Sr Lev 2 - 4th, Sr Lev 3 - 3rd
The way awards are done is so strange; they are during performances in a separate room two floors up. Parents who have more than one child on a team sometimes had to choose between watching the awards for one child or the performance of the other. It just seems like you should not have to choose. On top of that they don't allow videotaping. We missed the awards for one team because we wanted to be there to support another during their performance. There has to be a better way. Other than that we enjoyed the competition.
The results will be confusing because some have been divided into A, B, and even C? Maybe that is why they haven't been posted. That and also because of the wacky way awards were done, many of us don't know how everyone did, we were busy watching our teams perform.
What are you talking about? CA All Stars never filed a complaint against SOCAL. EVER! Please stop trying to start drama. Its getting OLD
I know this for a fact as I was there and witnessed the whole thing. Not trying to start drama just stating the fact that Athletic Championships takes these kind of aligations very seriously and they also run some of the best competitions around. Bashing Athletic Championships is getting old.
Ok, I will verify this rumor right now. It was actually USA Nationals and it wasn't CA who thought they had illegal aged athletes. Now that is enough of this..

We didn't attend this year, but in the past when we did the way awards where handled was my biggest complaint about this competition. Loved the venue, loved staying walking distance at the Hilton, but felt disconnected when it came to how the competition was going as far as team placement. Also found that I didn't get to see alot of teams peform that I'd have like to. I sometimes don't like it when a competition gets to big. Congrats to all the teams that won. Sounds like it was an interesting comp.
Teams were competing past 10:00 pm on Saturday. That is just foolish imo. I have always loved American Championships but these late comp times need to stop.
AMEN to that! I can remember a few years ago my daughter was competing at a comp. (nationals) and awards were at 12:15 AM! That's absurd IMO. My husband had to carry her back to our room, because she had fallen asleep.
platinums website said their junior and seniorA team won. so their jr2 beat pac and bladez? guess you have a slight advantage when youve been level 3 all season and drop to level 2 for the last 2 comps. and i guess their smallsr2 beat oc, american, and cheer xplosion? wow.
Way to go Platinum!
Platinum was awesome on both days. Congrats on your win! Bladez took 2nd in Jr lvl 2 small to Platinum and they also had great performances both days. It was a very good competition all in all.
Alcatraz was super as well as Diamonds... Good Luck at Worlds to both teams.
Thanks Bladez mom! Your teams looked great as well. I love your program and the great sportmanship Bladez displays at the competitions. I'll miss those shorts! Best of luck to you in the upcoming season and I hope you have lots of fun and excitement with your new program.
what i do not understand is the small sr level 2??
OC for the most part had done very well and then this competition platnium came in with a completly different team and a completly different routine...i dont know if this team dropped down or something but i am very confused and i have to say the boys on this senior level 2 team were defaintly not level 2...one of our moms were saying they saw these same boys on the level 4 team..i just dont get this...can anyone from platnium explain??
im not saying this in a negative way i am just askingg
Those boys were on their level 2 and 4 all year. But at the other comps they were the only ones that tumbled on level 2(the boys). None of the girls tumbled earlier this year. I didn't see them at Anaheim at this latest comp, what changed?

Welcome to the sport of cheer where anything goes. Many gyms have had to lose to teams who do what it takes to win, and there's nothing you can do except know that your team did their best out there, regardless of the outcome.
I normally don't respond to anything on this board, but felt the need to with this comment. People should find out the true story before posting something that is hurtful. OC did not cheat. We had in writing from the competition that the 10 year old could compete on the Senior 5 team and we did not have to move to Senior 5 open. We asked the competition 4 weeks in advance! Such a big deal was made about it, that the competition gave us the option to stay in the division or move to Senior 5 open on the second day. We chose to move, as we didn't want anyone to think that we were being unfair. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but think about what you say before posting it to the world.
The story I heard was that yes, the girl was 10. And 10 is the cut off age. But according to the story, she wasn't 10 by the cut off date. If that is true, then yes, OC cheated. It's as simple as that. A coach wouldn't make a mistake like that. Or at least I would hope not. But what is true, and what isn't, the internet may never know.

Does anyone from CheerForce know anything about CF West? I family friend just contacted me saying CF was open a gym near our house so i checked the website but it didnt say anything about cheer teams. It only talked about tumbling and dance. I called the number but there was no answer. Will this gym have competition cheer teams?
