3) Removal of you and your child from the program and the gym.

Yes it is not fair to the child, but your an adult....you know better!

This would be near impossible to enforce. People are going to gossip plain and simple. You can make up rules until your blue in the face and it won't stop it from happening.

Actually it does work. Parents stop gossiping because they do not want to get banned from the gym. My gym has had parents banned from the gym because the parent was so toxic. It was wonderful. When the parent was gone, it was like a vacation in the parent waiting area. Her daughter was not kicked out, but her mom could no longer come into the gym. It was pure heaven

we have this CRAZY little old lady in our gym, and when she walks into the parent viewing room, the whole mood changes. She is a pure cancer and everyone knows it. she got kicked out of a gym last year for being crazy to KIDS, now she is at our gym! She stares out the window and glares at kids she doesn't like.She trys to befriend all the girls on the team, but NO ONE can stand her. she is a very scary little lady! We thankfully heard she is leaving next season, and we are throwing a PARTY!

It's sad cause her daughter is actually really nice, and not a problem. But she has to be careful who she talks to or mommy will get mad. It's sad for her beacuse she had to give up a couple of her friends because her mom didn't like theirs.

We had a parent with 3 talented cheerleaders in our program. She and another 2 moms just couldn't get along and they brought much drama into the parent viewing room. They the 3 moms were told they were not allowed to observe practice for 2 weeks. One of them refused to listen and just showed up at the gym anyways. She was asked to leave the program. She went to another gym close by and bad mouthed the heck out of us.
To this day she has caused much tension between the 2 gyms which constantly shows it's ugly head on these boards.

This mom BRAGS about the fact she gives her gym A LOT of money for her kids to be the stars of their routine.

If there is drama at our gym, it is hidden and not showing up where most people can be a part of it due to the 1) strong leadership in the gym and 2) it seems most of the parents are commited to keeping the gym drama-free. That said, there are itty-bitty little whispers here and there, but very rare. If someone starts to criticize a cheerleader in warm up area, there is a tag team effect as someone will start to diffuse it with positive statements and that cheer is a 'team' sports etc. Try it every time you hear a negative statement. Make it a fun game, share it with your friends. It works! I know I am making light, but it really works.

I wonder if this old little lady who you speak of is the same lady at our gym. She came over from another gym and right away made her presence felt and it rubed alot of people the wrong way. Some familys even left the gym. While her kids are talented it doesnt give her or anyone for that matter any reason to think your better or more intitled to anything. This could be ONE EXAMPLE OF PARENT RUINING KIDS SPORTS. Parents get over yourselfs and let the kids enjoy being kids and competiting for there chosen gyms to the best of there abilities.

THIS MOM IS PATHETIC. I wouldnt want her at my gym it shouldnt be about the money, the house you live in or the car you drive it should be about the kids talent and there deserving of the spots in the routine.
