I can honestly say a full ride for cheer is very rare. Maybe a partial or even a book stipend but full ride sadly not many. Football is the sport that gives the most full rides. It puts people in the seats and that brings money to the school. FYI golf for girls is the most unused scholarship out there so put a golf club in her hand.

That has been my experience also. I would love to know where all the full rides are. I have heard of a few partial and alot of book stipends but not a full ride. Please let me know where to have my daughter apply.

Are the 2 year colleges more generous than 4 year schools? Most may not be interested but I'd think at least a few might be.

Check out this link to varsity.com. There is lots of college cheer info, some of it dated, but it will give you an idea of what might be available.

I checked out the site but most of these are last updated 4-6 years ago. Does anyone have more current info? So far HPU is the only one listed on this thread.

How about checking out the message board on proX. There were some college threads awhile ago. Also, most of that info from varsity was dated, but maybe check out the current college sites that are listed and see what they now offer. If you start a new topic asking for info, you might get more than you get buried in this topic.

Just Google "College Cheerleading Scholarships" and all kinds of links come up...  I know one of the cheer magazines used to have a yearly issue which listed most of the colleges and what kind of scholarships were offered, don't know if they still do this or not.
