The bigger the gym name the greater the negativity. Now you have two power houses joining forces so of cource it makes sence that this is going to draw a lot more negativity then normal. Cheer Force and So Cal have probally already mapped out what they want to do next year so they probally won't change names or teams or anything like that, but the season after who knows they may share the same name and uniform. They may also decide not to make teams in the same divisions. They said they will have about 15 teams combined so sounds to me like they are planning on putting teams in divisions that will make it so they don't compete against eachother. Congradulation Cheer Force and So Cal.

Now what I want to see is both Cheer Force's standing double and So Cal's standing double on the same team. It would be an awesome way to open a routine. Two clean standing doubles will surely catch the crowds attention

I think the point is why was it necessary to make such a big deal about joining forces? What's with the big announcement?  why not just invite So Cal over to CF to help out where needed, like any other gym looking for fresh ideas from outside sources?  It's a little confusing and maybe a lot "not necessary." I do sense that one of these gyms feels a little backed into a corner by recent mergers. I'm not bashing.  I'm just sayin...

I think the point is wanting to get the word out to potential customers about exciting additions to your staff and program. The same reason Ca put it out on this message board that they took over Bladez.

Don't get upset.  I'm just callin it like I see it.  So you don't see a difference between shaking hands and agreeing to help each, visit gyms, and cheer for each other VS writing up business proprosals, putting up cash and getting business loans?  These two transactions are not quite the same  No matter how you slice it.

So who in their right minds in TODAYS ECONOMY would take on a third gym with massive overhead. People are losing their homes and their jobs. Cheerleading is a luxury . Every gym out there is going to be losing some clientele due to a rapidly declining economy.
I guess the San Marcos gym will be footing the bills of the other 2 gym's for quite a while.

i don't think they would need it as a marketing tool. they're both great gyms. and sister gyms usually don't share coaches

yes they do that's why they're called sister gyms to help each other out. bottom line here is they are remaining exactly the same with the same owners same names no one bought anyone so what their "friends" whoopie doodah so basically it is more of an "alliance" than anything else. call it what is stop sugar coating it.

oh one more thing..don't you notice how they don't call it a "merger" since it's not they try to trick you into thinking it could be by saying " joining forces" people wake up this screams threatened desperation at the 11th hour! they just made an alliance that's it! OBVIOUSLY feeling very threatened by CA , what a compliment for CA!

SoCal surely didn't seem very threatened by them in Palm Springs!
Desperate??? Both companies attending Worlds on full paid bids in the two most difficult divsions. Don't think so!!

thats because there coed waasnt even there. socals bigest comptiton was calis SMALL JUNIOR or jr coed whatever you want to call it and they were pretty good compitition if you ask me.

You can't fight about who is better in different divisions. Each division is scored differently. Jr division is scored easier then SR divisions because of age. Large coed is scored harder then small coed because the amount of guys. You can't say CA large coed is better than So Cal small coed because So Cal small Coed doesn't have all those guys on their team. You can't say So Cal is better than CA jr coed because CA jr coed don't have the aged veterans of So Cal's SR team.

Yes! These two programs will eventually have the same uniforms, and yes these two programs will come up with a name that will represent both programs well.
Good luck Cheerforce and SoCal I love you both and I can't wait to see what you guys bring to the table for next season.

No that would be cheating, since they are not the same gym.

It wouldn't be cheating if they stayed on the same team all year. Just like ppl come from all over to join Cheer Athletics and Top Gun one of them may decide to drive out to one of the sister gyms and compete with them all season.

id rather hear a soap opera than the majority of the things posted on here lol. Some people (mainly parents) are so rude and harsh that its ridiculous. There is a lot of good drama or just topics to talk about, but EASE UP people.

I went to tryouts at SoCal last season. I am a big girl and i couldnt do much tumbling. I was a beginner and SoCal turned me away. I went to CA and they put me on a team there and now i can do a backhandspring and a standing tuck.  I Love CA.  they have the best staff in California.
