I think the point is why was it necessary to make such a big deal about joining forces? What's with the big announcement? why not just invite So Cal over to CF to help out where needed, like any other gym looking for fresh ideas from outside sources? It's a little confusing and maybe a lot "not necessary." I do sense that one of these gyms feels a little backed into a corner by recent mergers. I'm not bashing. I'm just sayin...
I think the point is wanting to get the word out to potential customers about exciting additions to your staff and program. The same reason Ca put it out on this message board that they took over Bladez.
Don't get upset. I'm just callin it like I see it. So you don't see a difference between shaking hands and agreeing to help each, visit gyms, and cheer for each other VS writing up business proprosals, putting up cash and getting business loans? These two transactions are not quite the same No matter how you slice it.
Somehow, I find it oddly comforting that they are different.

The difference is that CA did buy Bladez, this announcement really amount to nothing at all.
Who cares if Ca bought blades. It's basically the same thing. Blades is keeping all of their coaches and adding Shawn but they have to change their name. Socal and Cheerforce are keeping all of the same coaches and adding Ray and Carlos but they get to keep their names. Sounds pretty similar to me.
Thats the whole piont i was making. You can get the samething out of this situation as merge and stay true to your self at the same time. Thats what i thought was cool about it.
Love you CheerChick. Whoever you are. You seem like a nice person.
another huge difference when CA and Bladez meged we didnt go around saying we were going to be a "powerhouse program, unmatched in California." or we would have "an unparalleled advantage for years to come." we stated the benifits without being tacky
1. 2 companies announce a sharing of resources. 2. Unrelated person posts the announcement on message board. 3. Various people offer congratulations. 4. 1 or more people then begin placing multiple posts on the board stating that the announcement isn't a big deal and if you don't get it, they are going to post and post and post and post and post and post until everyone understands and agrees that it really isn't a big deal.

ha you think they just made them up? go read it again
i don't think they would need it as a marketing tool. they're both great gyms. and sister gyms usually don't share coaches
yes they do that's why they're called sister gyms to help each other out. bottom line here is they are remaining exactly the same with the same owners same names no one bought anyone so what their "friends" whoopie doodah so basically it is more of an "alliance" than anything else. call it what is stop sugar coating it.
oh one more thing..don't you notice how they don't call it a "merger" since it's not they try to trick you into thinking it could be by saying " joining forces" people wake up this screams threatened desperation at the 11th hour! they just made an alliance that's it! OBVIOUSLY feeling very threatened by CA , what a compliment for CA!
SoCal surely didn't seem very threatened by them in Palm Springs! Desperate??? Both companies attending Worlds on full paid bids in the two most difficult divsions. Don't think so!!

you should read again it says create a powerhouse program unmatched in californius
it doesnt say anything about they are going to be a powerhouse...........
it is just a statement and there are many gyms that talk about how great their programs are.
you all need to stop nit picking and being so immature avout things. they are not the only gyms merging it seems to be the trend this season. mergers benefit all involved.
lets just wait and see how this all works for everyone and it should be fun to watch everyone at comps this upcoming season.
with all these new mergers and ideas(power and cheergyms level 5 all american idea) there should be a ton of new neat stuff to see.
im looking forward to it.
good luck to all the new mergers, to all the single gyms and to all those trying new things at their gyms... it is time for a change
