I am from POWER and have no problem with it. Its a term for California and since I know for a fact that John did the shirts last year and used that on them, I think its great to build on it and incorporate it in.

since power made the shirts last year, and almost all the logos besides like mavericks were on the shirt last year, couldnt we have power e-mail most of the logos and just ask for the teams who didnt go last year just e-mail you theirs? if thats any help.

That is a great suggestion. Part of getting the logo means that they will also be purchasing shirts. If they have not sent in the logo they may not be interested in being on it. At this point I have only not heard from about 4 gyms. Everyone else has either passed on being involved or not called back yet. Thanks guys.

What party poopers....we have the chance to unify in one place all at the same time and they pass? Thats really to bad and makes me a little sad cry

They may have many different reasons. Even though the shirts are priced fairly, Worlds is expensive and they might not want to spend the extra on shirts, they may not have the time or want to collect more money. They also may not like the design or they may have had tshirts donated to them.

I guess I don't quite understand this. If the point is to put together a t-shirt that represents all the teams from California that will be at Worlds, why do they need to purchase one to be on the t-shirt? Wouldn't it be okay to just list them all, and if someone wants one they buy it? Otherwise the t-shirt ends up being these are the teams at Worlds that answered my phone calls and emails and will be purchasing a t-shirt. Do you see my point?

well this is the most stressful time of the season... and if you have multiple teams going to worlds, and comps the next two weekends and countless practices in between its just one more thing to get done... and when it comes down to it their heads are where they should be right now... on their teams. i understand why some parents may be frustrated or confused by this but if you are a coach IM SURE YOU UNDERSTAND smile

I agree with either order a shirt or your gyms not on. Why would we all spend $ on a shirt and rep a team that doesnt want to be in on it? If they express they dont want to be included on it then thats their choice.

I was on a team last year and we were not told about buying the shirts to spite the effort...then they sent a logo in anyway and it was on the shirt that all the other teams had on. I felt it made our gym look dumb so I totally agree with the original concept. Why would we all wear a shirt that a gym cant take the time or effort be a part of?

everybody has time somehwere in their day to return a call or email. and youre telling me that every gym in Cali that is going to Worlds doesnt have a member/parent/coach that looks at this and would tell their coaches or gyms about this?

it would be nice if ALL gyms would participate and it be a true Cali shirt like it was supposed to be but I completely agree with contribute or not be on.

LETS DO THIS CALI TEAMS!!! Somebody in every gym wants this shirt!!

As a gym owner, if someone other than me used my logo without written or verbal consent I would be upset. I understand the desire for all teams to be represented, just give the gyms time to respond to my messages. Do not jump to conclusions about what teams are and are not going to be on the shirts. The only gyms that I have not gotten to yet by either email of a voice message is Fusion , DVAS , Pace and West Coast Majesty. They are on my list for tomorrow.

as a coach i think its pretty awesome that not only are you getting a team ready for worlds but taking the time to put this together... and the fact that you have been able to get so much done already is pretty impressive smile

I don't think anyone is jumping to any conclusions, did we miss that post? You were the one that said some have passed on being involved. I just wondered if they wouldn't mind having their logo on anyway. It's like when we have team shirts that list everyone, not all the girls buy one, but the shirt is accurate in that it lists them all. But I understand your point if a gym doesn't want their logo on, for whatever reason. Good luck to everyone!

What teams do you already have? That we, we as team members will know whether we need to ask our gym owners about it, or inform them in case they don't already know.

I'm from California Allstars and I thought the shirt was a good idea last year. I ordered 2 and nobody from our gym ever got any. We saw the Nor Cal teams wearing them but no So Cal teams. I think it makes it hard to get involved in something like this when all of the teams represented do not get the shirts.
