Yes, that was me! What I said is true, Stars Extreme has been a driving force in putting California on the map with allstar cheer! It was great to see them perform so beautifully on Sunday. Congrats on your paid bid. Hopefully we will see you there!

I agree with Airborne Coach that this place has been brutal lately. Maybe we should go back to this board not being anonymous. It seems people are less likely to talk crap about other teams when they have to put their names by it. Also why are the moderators allowing the bad comments to remain. The only thing they succeed in is being hurtful and I don't think that is very productive.
Honestly, if you post announymously, it is going to be negative. If it was postivie, then you would put your name to it. Also, if they deleted all of the negative post, there would be no posts at all. When the board was opened back up, negativity was the only thing that came of it. This is a board where people come to be negative. At least on ProX, you have to have a user name. Sure you can register for as many as you want. At least you can see when a new user comes on to be negative that they have just registered. That post seems to hold less weight because you can tell the motives of the poster. On here, everyone just has free reign to be as negative as possible
Ive signed on and read the Pro X board and to be honest they do their fair share of bashing there also.I like reading and hearing about the California teams both in Nor Cal and So Cal that you will never see mentioned on Pro X.As far as the negativity, not all the posts are negative.Ive learned a lot about cheer, competition results, news , etc.Id miss this board if it was not here. There is good info shared here that I think is great. Yes there are those who cause drama and I try to ignore them. Thanks Cheergyms for providing us with a forum that we can share our views even if we don't always agree. I love this message board.
The truth is if you go back to the days of having to register and log in before posting it will soon be a dead board again (that's why they went back to anonymous posting). Anonymous posting does open it up for negativity, but it also allows posters to ask honest questions they may not feel comfortable asking otherwise. And I have seen many positive comments and helpful suggestions. I imagine it's sometimes hard to moderate, figuring out which posts to delete. Maybe if they came up with a standard rule that if you are bashing a particular gym by name, or making accusations, it will get deleted?
Part of the problem is people who work for or own gyms in the cheer industry are tired of all the back stabbing and behind the scenes brutality against each other and it has been going on for years. Now they just have a place to let out their frustrations and they want the world to know about what goes on. I personally am tired of parents and kids who are happy at their current gym being recruited and told that they will either be put on a higher level team (without the required skills for said team) or they are given a better deal financially at the recruiting gym if they go there. It is not fair to the current gym who will not play that game and keep everyone at the level they belong and paying the same price.

Or who use their clients to come on to the boards and start the drama... or use the boards to perpetrate drama themselves, then claim to be victims.
No I am not a victim. That's why I would like the truth to be told. If no one addresses the problem and pretends it's not happening then we are all victims of unscrupulous business practices perpetrated in an industry that is supposed to be based on the health and welfare of children. These kids know what level they belong on, they hear their parents talk about finances and we are giving them the wrong impression of how to get ahead in life. We are just another display of whats wrong with society, morals mean nothing get ahaed at all costs.

Oh no, I wasn't saying you were a victim, I was talking about gym owners using their clients on these boards, or coming on themselves and staring drama.. sorry for the misunderstanding.
Sometimes what you want to say comes out bad with an e-mail or a text, but when you say the same thing in person and you see how the person is standing or their look in there face you know they don't mean any harm. Yes sometimes it gets brutal on this board. You have to take everything not so personal and work threw what works best for you in your mind. I like the board a lot of time you really want to say somthing to a coach and you just can't. You are afraid of just bad feelings and you don't want those feelings to spill over to your kids. You can put it on the board most of the coaches read this and they know when you are referring to there gym. In the end it gets worked out.
I know I am going to try my best to stay positive and sign my name on all of my posts. I know I am guilty of coming on here and being negitive. I think if everyone trys their best to sign their names, this place will become much less brutal!
I'm curious as to why some people are hesitant to register and post with a screen name. I know it's easier to post negatively when you're totally anonymous but when I'm reading I put absolutly NO credibility in either negative or even positive posts when they're done anonymously.
When I read an anonymous post that says "cheergyms is weak, I hate their music, their uniforms are ugly etc. etc. I barely even finish reading much less care at all. And the LAST thing I would do is reply.
For those of you that get worked up by the brutality of this board...do what my Mom always told me. Consider the source.
