That was sucha wonderful thing. But it was so heartbreaking when her mother & father we presenting & reading that letter from her team completely heart wreaching I believe not a dry eye in the house. & when they started playing the video with that song in the arms of an angel I was ballin by then. it was breath taking to here their story & see how caring they are. Its nice to see such wonderful people in this world.
Now that award and how it was presented goes to show you all that JAMZ is all about the kids! That's what is should be about!
YES, sometimes the most favored team doesnt always win! YES, the competitions may be long! YES, they have staff members who are also coaches! and so on and so forth...
What other company can raise over $500 for CANCER RESEARCH by raffling off one of their staff members' shells?
I know JAMZ and how they run their competitions can sometimes anger people but just remember that they do it for the kids. More companies should look at what JAMZ is doing and see what they are doing right!!!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on Ashley Sullivan and that it touched your heart. Swat and the Sullivan Family have stuggled all year with her passing. It was so very important for Ashley's family to make sure that her life stood for something. They are very much a cheer family and want to continue the connection with all cheer organizations. When Ashley's mom called Jamz, they were very quick to respond and make this work to continue Ashley's legecy and help those struggling with medical issues. Jamz is ALL heart, everyone I came across back stage as a SWAT staff member, cried with us. This was a healing process for us and we thank all the cheer families for caring and making the scholarship a very special part of the National event. Hopefully we can get more donations for next year and make this a on going part of the Nationals and a way to continually help others. Thanks to all the Jamz family and staff, Julie, Marty, Connie and Kelvin for your understanding and love of children. Ashley is now our angel and smiling down on us.
What a wonderful dedication it was to Ashley Sulliven what a fight she fought and what an inspiration she has been. When Ashley's mom said in tears "parents, please, please, please cherish your cheerleaders" and spoke of how hard they work and how special they are... I'm sure every cheerleader and their family members hearts melted. Thank you to the Sulliven family for sharing that with us and raising money for the Ashley Sulliven scholarship. I know we all (cheerleaders and coaches) fight against each other for the love of the sport and competition but I thank Jamz and the Sullivens for sharing this because it truly brought the house together and for a moment we we're all one. That feeling reminded me what i'm in this for when at the end of the day i'm just so tired of it all. Her speaking of Ashley's love of the sport and the cheer world keeping their family going, I remembered why I love it so much and how cheer and dance truly does keep a lot of us together in so many ways. I love all you cheerleaders out there representing and always doing your best. May The Sulliven family and all their friends grieve peacefully and her beautiful memory live on. My heart goes out to all gyms that have lost anyone, however they will always be on those mats with us. I know Cheer Odyssey greatly misses Katy, we finally got a voice over "everything we do is for 1-0-2, Katy Nicole George".
Ashley Sulliven & Katy George, fly high, you're truly missed. For all of us in pain I pray for peace in our hearts and in our gyms to take a moment of silence to remember our angels and to cherish one another.
