We are not talking about Pyramids Sr. team.  Were are talking about Pyramids Jr-4 team.  Power did not have a Jr-4 team.  95 percent of them on the Jr-4 team are on the AA team  Level-5.  The gym we are from we have no cross overs not one of are girls is a Level-5.  They all are either working on Level-4 tumbling or perfecting the Level-4 tumbling they have.  So yes I would consider are team a true level-4 team.  This past season I saw several true JR-4 teams.  Pyramids was not one of them.

Just like Regina I have been avoiding these boards as much as posiible, but I can only sit back and read all of the comments about kids that I coach. I coached both Pyramids Jr. Red (4), as well as help coach both All American teams. I would like to politely ask if you can please refrain from making statements such as "Pyramids was not a "true level 4 team, " etc, etc. There were kids on that team that worked just as hard as any other child at any other gym on a level 4 team. The reason USASF made levels was so the routines would all have similar skills in it. So yes there were kids that could do level 5 skills, whether it be flying, tumbling, etc, but we could only compete level 4 skills. Just like everybody else.

All that I ask is please stop talking about Pyramids Jr. 4/5 and Senior 4/5. The season is over, we have a new one coming up, and I can't wait to see what other gyms have in store for next year. I am excited about the upcoming season, and I hope all of our fans out there are excited as well. Good Luck to everyone!

We are not questioning the hard work or dedication of the athletes.  They all work very hard.  We are questioning the gym thats puts them in a level that may not be suited for them??? I am glad to see you recognized 4/for your team.  Think about our athletes and how frustrating it is for them knowing that they are up against level-5 team in a level-4 division.  I only hope cheergyms does not do this next season.

NOT every girl on the Junior and Senior 4 has a full, double, standing tuck, standing series to full or double. Not every flyer has a double down from a elite stunt sequence or a kick double basket. As stated by others on this board a true level 5 team would have each person on the team able to perform these skills. Both the Senior and Jr team do not have all of these girls throwing true level 5 skills do some of them have them yes but not every single on of them. there are a fair amount of girls on the team without level five skills. Are you supposed to punish a girl because she has a full and is on a level four team ? no. Stop saying they are level 4/5 they are a level 4 team who have girls who have worked hard over summer practices and the season to get level 5 skills.

What does it matter if a L5 girl is on a L4 team?  They can not perform the L5 skills on the L4...right?  So the L4 team needs help and if their parents can pay for both or however the gym deals with it, so what.   It's when you keep a team down that should Level up and the gym does not so they can get the win...that's wrong!

I think the point is when greater the half of the girls on the level four team have level five skills, why is that team mot competing as five?? I was not for lack of competition in the small five level, plenty of competition there, unless you are scared to go there. weirdface

worked hard over the summer to get there level-5 skills.  Summer is before the season started and we are not talking about 4,8 or even 10 try all but 3 were wearing AA tops during the award ceremony???  Enough said about this subject. Again I would never take away from the athletes of cheergyms however cheergyms (the gym not athletes) take away from our athletes with tactics like this.  It is a mute point anyway.

I am glad they won't be doing this next year.  I don't get the comment about do you punish these athletes; they are on a level 5 team, isn't that sufficient?  Why the need to be on both?  These issues have been addressed plenty of times on this board (with the gym, the issues are never with the athletes themselves).  I agree, it's time to move on and prepare for a fresh new season.  I want to wish the AA team the best of luck at Worlds!

If you paid attention there were plenty of the level 4 kids on the AA team. It is not a true level 5 team by any means.

Im not from cheergyms, but All this negativity about gyms merging, people being immoral, gyms being mean by having some level 5 kids on a level 4 team, what happened to everyone just cheering and having a good time.

THE Jr. All American team is NOT going to WORLDS! IMO, if you are bitter because your team lost to Jr. Red (level 4) all year, try to motivate your child to get better skills, by being a good sport (and a good example), not by complaining.

Not complaining just stating facts.. I don't need to motivate my child she has great LEVEL-4 (true level-4) skills.....

What are level 4 and level 5 skills?
My daughter has a layout, triple toe back, she can base just about anyone, she is working on standing fulls and ro-bh-full.  What team would you put her on?

I am calling the Jr. and Sr. team 4/5 because that is what everyone is labeling them as. I don't call them that, nor does anyone else in our gym. As far as them getting skills in summer, I never mentioned they had or got skills in the summer.

Anyways, if you read our all star information we are not doing that this year, and I hope everyone is beyond this subject. Good luck to everyone who has merged, opening of new gyms, and the gyms who are attending worlds.
