I really wish they didn't split the divisions!   To win National Champs in a few of these divisions won't mean as much now because some teams won't be going against the best (the best being teams that have dominated in their division throughout the season).    Why do some competitions always feel the need to make it easier when most gyms really want to see how they stack up against the best talent there?

I agree, I'm glad I'm not competing I'd be mad.  No one likes a competition that lacks competitors in your division, and now there's a ton n they go and split the divisions up!  Totally do not understand this.
Can anyone explain why they did that?  I think cheerleaders go to a competition to compete to see if they are the best. And the American Showcase is just trying to name as many national champions as possible.

at least they split it up by team size, not just randomly. its more fair this way so teams with like 8 people don't go against teams with 20. and this is pretty much everyones last competition so maybe they don't want people going home with like 12th place

Agreed.  "at least it's by team size". At Cheersport Nationals the team split was random and some divisions were definately much weaker than others.  imo, Teams that should have placed 5th or 6th if their division was combined, ended up winning when their division was split.

Are they still adding the 10 CA kids??  I remember reading that somewhere, does anyone know if they are still planning to do that?

We have had 27 athletes on this team and there will be 26 competing (one is injured)...no additions.

This is the one to watch to bad for Bladez on the worlds thing they would have been great. Beating cheerforce gives them the edge going into this weekend, but cheerforce needs the win to give them give them the momentum before worlds.

sup_post.jpgsup_post.jpgWhatever the outcome of the BLADEZ/CHEERFORECE Jr coed 5 competition can we all make an effort to keep it positive. No matter what IT IS going to be a close nail bitting competition which makes it very exciting. It will most likely come down to WHO HITS IT THE CLEANEST.
With this being BLADEZ last comp as BLADEZ and this being CHEERFORCES last comp before worlds. Let's just let the kids have fun and keep all the negativity off the boards.

Goodluck BLADEZ and CHEERFORCE jr coed 5 teams I will be rooting for both of you.

Very well stated, thank you CF Parent.  Once again I'm sure our kids from both teams will support one another & get along this weekend just like they did in Long Beach!

We wish CF the best at Worlds smile
