Who will be the first?

American and Cheerforce have both brought home bronze medals from Worlds in the past.  Who do you think will be the 1st team from California to bring home a gold and in what division?

I wish it wasnt true, but i dont think any of the cali teams have what it takes to win the gold this year.cry We have really stepped it up but so has everyone else. But i do think we'll have some top 10, 5, and mabey top 3 finishes.

I think that next year the combination of talent in bakersfield will be awesome.  I wonder what would happen if they were to go small 5?  Think of how sick they would be.

As much as we all hope that a Cali team will be placed on top...I don't think it's going to happen.  NCA and CheerSport were great previews to a world event.  I think POWER and Cheerforce and Bullets will do well, hopefully top 5.

I don't think receiving a handed down bid means the team "doesn't have what it takes."  Cheerleading is a "day of" kind of sport.  It makes it anyones game.

Now as far as who will bring home gold first.  I'd say CA.  But to be honest I hope it's an "underdog" team who receives an at-large or handed down bid who no one would predict would get it.  I love when things like that happen, gives me goosebumps.

Aww come on guys support your Cali Teams! Its been said on other national boards that Power can get top three and that Bullets is the only team that can  stop Top Gun...

I dont think the post was asking who could do it this year, just who could do it in general.

If we're speaking this year, the ones with the best chances are Power and California.  Power has to get through quite a few teams and I think Cheer Athletics has too much talent to get beat this year.  Power also has to get through F5 (who they beat in Dallas I think) and World Cup.  Power would have to be perfect and get some help from those teams.  In Large Coed California has to get through Top Gun who rarely makes mistakes (just listen to Victor saying "Consistency builds confidence, Confidence wins championships) as well as Cheer Athletics who I'm sure is still stinging from last year's runner up finish.

If we're speaking as the first one to win a gold in the future I would have to go with Power.  They consistently are getting stronger, their popularity continues to rise and they don't have one single girl who stands out.  California is losing a lot of their guys so it will be interesting to see if they can replace them or move into a different division.  American now that they are combining with Stars Extreme is someone to keep an eye on as well as cheergyms.com All American as their talent is still very young.

I think there will probably be 2 or 3 more gyms who will throw their name into that mix soon...

I think POWER will do well this year on the first day at NCA they were in 2nd right behind cheer athlettics and then the had a few mistakes on the 2nd day which brought them down  but other than that i think their large team will be in the top 3... cvant wait to see I lUV POWER

I think the 1st team to win will be POWER or So Cal.  POWER, because of all the reasons already stated in this thread.  So Cal because, they are a strong team in a division that is somewhat equally matched.  At this point, I think that division can go to any number of teams.  I don't think it will be California because to me the small senior team just isn't as strong as some of the other strong teams in that division.  Coed, even though they are definitely near the top, I don't think they have what it takes to beat Top Gun.
