In my experience the kids that are "Gym Hoppers" are the laziest kids on the team with the worst attitudes who want to be on a team that wins all the time. They end up being the worst kid on the team. Yet they get to wear the jacket that says they are a champion and they walk around like they didnt squat in the back for 90% of the routine. Lame...
What's worse is they rub it in the faces of the kids at ABC gym.
Obviously this is not always the case but this is what I have seen in my personal experiences.
It's always sad when you lose athletes but good riddence to bad attitudes!

I agree. Athletes that leave one gym for another only see that other gym winning and want to fly on those coat-tails. Why not better yourself and motivate others in the current gym to push harder??

SO ANNOYING.

Or they can't control the coaches from the gym so they leave to go to another gym.

this topic is soooo old. why can't you just see that kids leave one gym to go to one that may be a better fit for them. it doesn't really matter why they leave. one thing i have learned is it is "their" business and not ours. period.

This is exactly why people leave gyms because of cheer parents that are so negative and think they can blanket everybody with what they think.  Hilarious that you spout this out but say good riddance to bad attitudes......confused

We left because of personal reasons as mine is a VERY hard worker and is always at the top in her new (and old) gym in level 5 skills.  It really irks me when people that have no idea of a situation casts a light like this.  We are in so much better positive space its not even funny AND when we win we do it with class and still cheer on our old gym.

Parents and athletes- PLEASE if you are in a place where you dont feel your skills are improving/will improve or is negative look for another gym.  The decision is yours and yours to make alone.  Dont let people with negative nelly attitudes that are obviously going to talk bad about you if you stay or go keep you somewhere were you are not happy.  Life is to short and there are lots of places out there that might be a better place for you.  Good luck!wink
