That's wonderful. Very thoughtful.

I was at USA comp and I don't remember what team it was but they had a compilation of 80's alternative! That was the best! Talk about getting us cheer moms feeling their age, but we were all singing along!

Yes they did it for their Junior 4 and Senior coed 5 teams.  It was very emotional when I heard it too.  It meant a lot to the girls that they put it in there!

Wow, that is so heartbreaking, you picked a great way to honor her, some people like to try to keep things hushed, and a lot of times we think it's better for the family if you don't mention their names etc.

Your kids needed that, to be reminded it's okay to think about her! My heart goes out to you (her cheer family) and all of her family. God had bigger plans for her. God Bless!

Always love Power!!!  They have a little bit of everything in their music.  Love the old school, the new school, the rock, the country...UNBEATABLE!!!

Totally agree!!!  Power gives us all kinds of flavor!!!  Love their large sr5..."Sally...that girl!"  You can tell all the girls get into the routine!  And small sr5's 9 to 5...just amazing!

You people are so funny.  I feel so old, I can't tell what songs are being used in a routine.  They change so fast and they all start to sound the same.

However, I do know that I don't care for country songs in  routines.  I don't mind listening to it on the radio, but for some reason I am turned off by it in a routine.  I wonder if judges ever feel that way about certain music and it affects their impression of a routine?

Alot of teams across the country have country music mixed into thier routines.  I personnaly like it.  For that matter I like all kinds of music.  I'm sure that thier are judges who hate Rap music, Hip Hop, etc.  I would think they would be professional and not let thier personal preferences interfere with thier judging fairly.

I know one of the World Cup has a country themed music for one of their teams. It's WAY CUTE. (If you like country music that is.)

I love when they use Rap or Hip Hop in team music especially in the dance section, it always seems like the kids can really get into the music and really dance. It also must be easier to teach counts to the music because rap and hip hop music usually have beat counts.

i LOVE chats music if anyone has met with him or heard his music. He does WC, Bullets, Some of Top Guns, and a few others. He raps himself in some of them, but his mixes are bomb. I like stingrays music to.

I know last year we had a lot of country in our music, and our Coaches actually had it remade because of that exact reason. They kept some in because of the theme, but they worried that if one judge didn't like country, too much of it might affect our score. It turned out alright in the end biggrin

To be honest I could not tell you anyones music.  It all sounds the same after awhile.  I can say I'm getting tired of hearing all the excessive sound effects.  I love it when teams use the old rock and roll songs.  Watch the audience next time you hear 60's or 70's music in a teams musci.  Everyone starts seat dancing.  I personally like country music and have seen some cute routines to it.  I find some of the rap music used questionable.  I sometimes wonder if parents are aware of the content of some of these songs.  I know that I'd be happy to see some of the booty shakin moves go away, especially on the younger teams.  Sorry it looks vulgar...

The music actually has the voice over before our Senior 5 pyramid and during our Junior 4 jumps. It says "Everything we do, we do for 102, Katy  Nicole George." She was an amazing person and she is missed dearly. Her sister still cheers on our Senior 5 team.

I know this is totally off topic but for those who want to know who she was keep reading

Katy passed away April 2nd, 2006. She was only 14 years old. Her family along with some other cheerleaders, coaches and our owner were on their way home from UCA Nationals in Hollywood. When a big rig moved into theri lane. She was thrown from the vehicle

The 2 year anniversary of her passing is a few days away. She is our cheer angel. During our showcase at the begining of the year which is now named "The Katy Nicole George Spirit Showcase" Our owner gave such a moving speech and presented her family with a shadow box with a uniform shell for Katy she explained why the skirt was not included. If you notice we have a little heart embroidered on the bottom corner of our skirts that say KT because we all wear her skirt and keep her with us. Please keep her family in your prayers. Good Luck In Vegas, Palm Springs, San Jose and LA. There are so many competitions this weekend. God Bless
