Just a small tid bit of info. Throughout the united states this year their have been 787 level 5 teams signed up and competing in Worlds divisions. Only 205 will recieve some type of bid. That is clearly not every level 5 team. Congrats to all the bid recipients.

Wow, that is a lot of talented teams and kids. Thank you for information. It's nice to know.

Well of course not everybody has one there are only a certain amount of bids to win or get handed down. Hopefully the process will only get better so that it really is a true world class level of WORLDS.
Sorry, I'm not buying this. If your team were to receive a bid by default, are you telling us you would turn it down? I'd like to be a fly on the wall at that parent meeting!

Me too. "Your kids didn't beat the top teams in our area, but we are going to let you spend thousands to go against the world's best in Florida." Yep, that would be quite a meeting.

Like someone said earlier, winning means different things to different people. And as a parent, you don't have to let your child attend if you don't feel they or their team are worthy. That is absolutely your choice.
I hope one day you have the chance to experience Worlds. It is quite amazing.
Best of luck to you and your team on the remainder of the season.
