I have heard all about this crazy energy during the super six and I thought it was less then on the regular competition. I mean it was loud but not as loud as the first or second time people went. I just didnt see it as such a big deal. Was it louder in the past. Also, I think the announcer really messed awards up. I got the feeling that Stars Extreme was not very excited about their bid. Did anyone else get that. I would of been jumping up and down!
It is different for different programs. For some programs, any type of bid would be so great. The fact is that other programs get At-Large bids whereever they go, so an at-large bid is not that exciting. It really is not the fault of Stars Extreme. Maybe they wanted to partial paid bid. I know Power Small has got an at-large bid at every comp they have gone to, so maybe they would not of been that excited either if they had got the at large again. Do not be to hard on Stars Extreme that they did not get excited.
I am not being hard on them, and they have not gotten a bid yet so I thought they would of been excited. I just would think if you did nt have one yet you would not be so picky.

Maybe they were just as confused as the people around me & myself were about how the announcements were going on. It took me until later that night to figure out how they announced the bids and what that meant for placements. I wish they would have stated how they were handling first, then I wouldn't have been so confused throughout the at-large bid awards.
As for the energy during the Super Six, I was wondering about this as well. I was up front for the performances this year (usually I'm farther back), so I don't know if the entire auditorium was screaming, rooting, chanting like in years past.
edited to stay somewhat on topic: POWER large was insane! I wish I could hook the video up to a theater sized screen with surround sound so that it would be closer to be there live again!

I felt the same way, I was confused and dissapointed with the way the announced it. I think it took away from the bid winners. It was like, well here you go. Everyone standing up there knew who already had one so why say it like that. Just pass it and go with it.
