RE: Crowd Support

I am very thankfull to have such supportive parents.  I do feel the need to be out there getting them going, encouraging them to support the team especially during sections that may have had a rough warm-up, or sections that are typically the most difficult for any given team.  I guess lead by example...If the parents see myself and the coaches excited they can't help but to join in..

Again thanks to all of those positive comments regarding our parent / spectator rooting section.  Yesterday they were the best POWER has EVER had!!!

Cheers
JOHN

If you think anything besides the 12 stunts in the air during that section was the focus of that routine then you need to change sports.  It may not be for some but dont slam the coaches who are there excited and choose to show it....keep it up coaches we love your enthusiasm!

You personally know the owners of most programs? You must to make that statement. Some do not wish to be the focus! It's about the kids.

Theres always someone who wants to turn somthing that is so positive and great into somthing negative. The showing at super six was AMAZING to say the least. Thoes kids must have felt so good.

It really has nothing to do with 12 stunts. If you watched the coaches from this program, they go just as crazy for the level 1 teams. They were jumping around for their Mini 1 team. I think it is just amazing that they get that excited. The crowd is amazing. The were cheering like it was the olympics. I felt a little sorry for my daughters team when they came out and our cheering was pretty pathetic. All athletes work hard, not ones just from one program. Dont they all dserve that support. Kudos.

Completely agree that all teams get/deserve that support I was just pointing out to the 'negative nelly' that the focus and idea is NEVER to take away from the kids and used the 12 stunts as the example.  Believe me I couldnt take my eyes off those cuties taking the floor either so could have been used the same way.  We love our minis - seniors....and our coaches!smile

As someone who competes against this program. I think it sucks that I feel like we lose sometimes because they have a better crowd. I can tell you that it stinks when you do all tha tyou can and still lose to them because their parents are louder.

That is so sad. You lose because the other team is better.

I am not saying that we are better. I just think that it does make a difference in close divisions. That crowd is big and loud and creates energy. That has to translate to the score sheet in some way. I was not trying to put anyone down. I was just saying that it does make a difference

I hear what you're saying!  Not that you blame POWER or their parents, but boy! wouldn't it be nice if every gym could get it together like they do.

I'm not sure it makes a difference at every competition, but I am sure that it does at some.
