You shouldn't take a post out of context.  The original comment was posted on March 1, so this was the standing after the first day of competing...no where on there did they imply that it was the super six placings.

GSSA is over, can we please just close this TOPIC already?  It seems to be getting a llittle off topic and rough to other teams.

Nothing wrong with constructive criticism.  Just because it's about a team that usually doesn't get mentioned in a negative light doesn't mean we should close the topic... other gyms have had to endure it, I'm sure they can handle it too.

We can handle constructive criticism.  I would like my Senior 5 girls to know how proud I am of them.  They held their heads high on Sunday even though they were dissapointed.  Every team goes through highs and lows.  Every competition has different judges that like different things and this was just not our weekend.  We are headed to Portland this weekend and will continue to perfect our routine and make neccesary changes that will make us stronger as a team and as level 5.  Thank you to everyone for all of the support over the weekend especially the coaching staffs from AP, Cheergyms and Power, your kind words and support out weigh all of the negatives on this board.

Thats great to hear that your trying to keep your head high.  Just remember when talk smack about other programs and laugh at kids injuries that it will come around back to you.

I am not sure what you are talking about, we never teach or kids or parents to do that nor do I practice this.  We never laugh about injuries as we have some as well.  I am sorry that you feel that this has happened.  If you have a concern about how myself, staff or cheerleaders have acted please email me at cheerairborne@aol.com and I will be happy to discuss it with you.  You are also welcome to call me at 707- 843-9901.  Without contacting me I cannot answer any concerns that you have, if you are not willing to step up and tell me your concerns please refrain from accusing us of such things.  This board is not the place for it.  Goodluck to your teams.

I for one am appalled that someone would try to maliciously badmouth your program, Nicole. I have seen you guys at several competition and have not ONCE had a bad experience. In fact, you guys are one of the few programs out there and especially you Nicole that takes the time out of a busy competition schedule to say hello or even aknowledge people with a smile!!! Rock on Nicole and Airborne!

I agree, Nicole is always like a ray of sunshine in a long competition day!

I thought Airborne's small 5 looked awesome. LOVED the elites and those girls rocked out that dance. Keep it up ladies, and good luck in Portland!

Honestly, we prefer constructive criticism (and the key word is constructive) to kind words and support.  If we're not placing well we like to hear other opinions as to why.  I think a couple comments were constructive (but certainly not that last negative post).  Your friends may not want to be perfectly honest, but here you can be.  I'm glad you will be working on improving your routine because it just needs a little spicing up (for lack of a better phrase).   I wouldn't think it's enough just to get a bid to worlds, I would think you would want to succeed once you are there.  Good luck in Portland, I hope you get the chance to show them you can hang with the big dogs.

I agree with you, it is not necessary to go into long detail about the history of our team this season, we have had multiple injuries and have gone through alot and I am proud of them.  I also have plans for some spicing, but you cant spice until basic skills are solid, which is what we have been challanged with when it comes to stunting due to the fact that we have a considerable amount of younger, small girls on this team.  This is the choice we made to have the tumbling required for this level, the girls are aware that our stunts are not as polished as they need to be and we work on it daily at practice. The heart is there and eventually the polish will be there too.  Thank you for your comment.

I think people are negative when it comes to Airborne because they are a threat.  They are another successful gym that the Powers and the Cheergyms.com need to compete with and possibly get beat by.  I know that the owners of these programs are excited to have another successful team to compete with but some parents / cheerleaders are not comfortable with it and look to talk "smack" about an Airborne routine because they are scared.

I personally love Nicole and the way she handles her program, kids, parents, and herself.  She is classy and professional.  Her girls are professional and love their sport.  Anyone who trys to talk "smack" about this program or their routines is just plain scared.

Constructive crticism is always appreciated by good coaches.  But when providing your opinions remember they are the coaches for a reason.  Talking "smack" only make you and your program look bad.

Good luck to Airborne in Portland and at JAMZ.  Receiving a bid would be an AWESOME acheivement!!!

I think they mean that if a division only has one team, that team doesn't deserve an award like grand champion.  I am not sure how that is relevant to the GSSA results, but whatever.

You couldn't be more wrong.   Think about it, if I were a gym who competed against another gym, wouldn't I want the other gym to continue to place anywhere but first?  Wouldn't it be to my advantage to post great things about the gym telling them how wonderful they are hoping they don't change a thing?  This would give our gym a better chance.  Nope, I'm being honest because I care about the gym and want to see them succeed.  I love when smaller gyms have a chance to truly compete against the ones who typically dominate.  I'm sure I didn't say anything they don't know already (thank you for your response Nicole).   You are absolutely right about getting the basics down before adding the spice, I can't wait to see how your team progresses.

I agree with you 100% when I posted above I was referring to the negative comments not the constructive criticism.
