Is Starstruck, Cheer Xplosion, Cheer Odyssey, anyone going?
now you know starstruck and CO are going
why do you say it like that?
didnt mean it like anything, just that they are always there and so is swat. i promise nothing bad meant by it
They are always at JAMZ because their coaches are affiliated with JAMZ
yes that may be true but i didnt post the comment to state that. i was just saying they would be there. i hope this doesnt start trouble? like i saiddidnt mean it like anything, just that they are always there and so is swat. i promise nothing bad meant by it
I don't know if it's true or not but I can say in all our years at Jamz I have not seen any favoritism towards these gyms. When they have won they have earned the win, and when they have lost it was also deserved. They treat these gyms the same as everyone else. Good luck to everyone, I think this will be a really fun competition. Jamz Vegas is the best.

Well that is why they are always there. Does it help them at competitions? Sometimes. Are they always judged fairly? Sometimes. I don't mean anything bad by it either. Just saying what everyone is thinking. I have a great deal of respect for Starstruck, CX and CO. No need to have anyone else start drama from it. At least you and I know where we are coming from...hahaha

we could say the same with fusion being affiliated with USA as some of their owners coaches are members of USA
Is cheergyms associated with any cheer competitions? hmm
You guys are fishing for things.
I am most positive that who ever it is that affiliated with any teams does not judge when they compete.
Not always true, haven't you seen all the other JAMZ topics??
Even if their actual coach isn't judging. It is still JAMZ staff judging, and JAMZ Staff members are friends. I agree that sometimes it helps the team and sometimes they are judged fairly. I have seen all of those teams win when they deserved it and win when maybe they didn't. But even if a team is not affiliated with an organization, usually the teams coach knows someone on staff who might be judging. So really the same can be said for all teams who have been around a while. I just think it is unfair when you are at a competition where Joe Schmo is working for "ABC Cheer Company" and then he goes out side throws on a "We are the best All Stars" shirt on OVER his "ABC Cheer Company" uniform and starts coaching them. I feel it is a HUGE conflict of interest. I see where the poster is coming from. It does make you raise an eyebrow!

i agree with this to a degree. i dont think coaches should be blamed for their affiliations and friends, but they should be careful about their show of professionalisim. if joe schmoe works for ABC, they probably should not work the competition they bring there team to and watch how they interact with the ABC staff while at the competition.
however, cheer fans should also realize that the cheer world can be a small one and if a coach socializes with a judge when the competition is over, fans shouldn't be so quick to judge.

Yes, this is exactly what I was getting at!! I socialize with many "staffers" after, during and before competitions and hope that others will not judge my teams because of my friendships.
And I 100% agree that Joe Schmo should not be working a competition where his team is competing. It just looks bad.
