Cheer Odyssey did great. Our younger teams went out there and did there best. There were some VERY talented teams out there. Our mini level 1 team took 11th out of 17 our mini 2 did not place crying.gif The competition was pretty tough in the Youth Level 2 division I am sooooooo proud of the my daughters Youth team they went out there and poured their heart into that routine.

My daughters Senior Open Level 3 team  won 1st and got their jackets.
Congratulations to these 35 girls and Daniel. How could I forget my adopted son Daniel..lol. All of those long practices paid off in the end. If I may publicly thank the Cheer Odyssey family. Char and Linette thank you so much for running such an amazing program and welcoming us into the family late into the season. We could not be happier with the program.

Edited to correct and add Daniel.biggrin

Hey ODYSSEY MOM!
You're teams did great.

You're SR 3 Open team.. .. Talk about a jaw dropping routine, you guys brung it! I looked at a youtube from a couple months ago, and you guys did alot of changes.. it paid off! You guys had the stadium pumped! clap.gif

Sr Coed 5 - loved the dance sequence, you're center elite - AWESOME! You had one girl with a full shirt on - it caught our eye, and made us focus in on her, she had no tumbling which brought us to the row of non standing tucks.confused

Jr 4 - WOW, why you guys got second is BEYOND ME! Stellar performance, AWESOME!

It was great watching your teams, my daughter is definitely looking to tryout if things don't pan out at her current gym.hmm

SWAT has been working very hard!  The have hit the right combination of coaches and staff.  To bad that other teams used their material,  from Davis to Nationals and did it poorly!  SWAT worked it, and busted out the final National routine and won!  Can't wait to see what is going to happen in the future, they are an exciting group to watch, they really have grown.  Great Job SWAT, you deserve the win, your staff should be proud.

Thnk you so much for the compliment. Yes we did have alot of changes. As the seasons start to come to an end there are injuries and alot of skill development. We started out the year with Aeries Senior 2 of 22 kids and  Cosmos Senior 3 Open of 18 or so. Our Level 2 Aeries team started out with one backhandspring with the majority of 1st year Level 1 cheerleaders. These girls and Daniel worked there tails off and gained skills and really began to max out their skills taking all first place finishes with the exception of a second place to Premier (Which was a great team) in their final competition as a Level 2 team. Many of the kids that came in this season barely being able to do cartwheels now throw tucks on their own. Our Directors saw that both teams would benefit by combining into a Level 3 allowing our Aeries team to push their skills more and making Cosmos a large team since the division allowed for 36. A great move by our Directors. The teams combined into a Level 3 team January 14 the and 6 weeks later we were in Anaheim. It was a tough competition and our kids placed second to So-Cal Elite. They came back into the gym more determined than ever and came out victorious at JAMZ. These kids became a team in 11 weeks and achieved their goals. All of those looooonnnnnggggg practices and frustration of learning how to become a team all payed off in the end. Most teams have whole seasons to become one they did it i n 11 weeks.
