I am starting a list to see what teams will be there:
Small Senior 5: Power ( at large at Spirit Sports) Nor Cal Elite Magic Airborne OC Allstars Victory Sonic Boom
Large Senior 5: Power ( paid Bid at the Grand)
Coed 5: All American ( At Large at the Grand) Nor Cal Elite
Predicitions:
I think Power Large 5, all american and nor cal coed will take three of the spots and the rest will fill with 3 small senior teams Power being one of course and them magic and then a toss up for who hits both days. Should be interesting.
Is this Power's Small 5 team's last chance for a partial paid bid or are they going elsewhere?
How would that not effect who gets into the Super Six? Please explain.
Well, like last year: Power had a paid bid already. They scored high enough to be in the "Super Six" so GSSA had 7 teams in the Super Six - 6 that competed for bids - all 7 competed for prize money. Make sense?
Yes but I don't think the bid should just be "handed down" to the next team just because POWER will be there. That team should have to earn it...If POWER get's the top spot (when, POWER get's the top spot) the bid should be given to nobody
Well that is why I am saying that they have a paid bid already so they should not be in the running for super six. I understand the money but not the rest. This year they are not handing down at large bids after the competition meaning that if AA Small Coed gets the Partial paid bid their at large bid from vegas will not go to the next team from vegas. But if Powers small 5 gets the at large bid at gssa they will pass on it since they already have one, at that time the next highest score will get the at large bid.
I think there should always be SIX! not "stupid seven", or even "Non Sense Nine"! If they are going to keep adding to the amount of teams, then why not give the money to the highest scoring team, and give the bids to the next highest scoring teams? Hopefully GSSA doesnt give another pitty entry and have another "STUPID seven"!!
That basically means all level 5 teams going are going to be in the super 6? That's really dumb....even dumber, you can have the 5th highest score of the comp and still walk away with a bid...
I just see at as selfish. They aleady have a full paid bid. They should focus on their small 5 getting the partial and the money.
Yes- we do have a paid bid and it is great, but we do cheer because we love it and we would love to compete next weekend too. Isn't that what competitive cheer is all about. Good luck to all teams next weekend.

I think we can agree that the decision makers at POWER kind of know what they are doing. Why whouldn't they compete just like everyone else. It isn't selfish, it is competition.
I am not from POWER but here is my guess. Say(this si all theoretical) both teams make the Super 6 and large 5 gets the highest score from I know of POWER they would probably take the money the large 5 team wins and use it to help their small teams travel expenses to worlds. Even if power small gets a partial paid then they could still use the rest of the money to get them there. Just an idea. Im sure there large 5 team wont be spending the money all for themselves since they have a paid bid. Okay, now im rambling!
