Is it true that all of those teams will not get to perform again. There were a lot of Odyssey teams that did not say finalist. That would suck to go all the way down there and only perform once. Can anyone from Odyssey confirm or is that just a mistake

yes thats the way usa nationals works. you have to qualify to make it to finals. if you're not a finalist after semi-finals, you're done. (and pretty much only 2 or 3 teams made it in each division) yes it kinda sucks and there aren't even that many teams in each division so they could just let everyone perform 2 days. otherwise it doesnt really seem fair to all the teams who traveled so far and booked hotel rooms just to perform one day.

At least with Jamz you know you are only competing one day.

When any of our teams didn't make it to finals, we'd cheer on our teams who did. And we'd make the most of it and plan to visit Disneyland or Knott's and have a great time. Or walk around Downtown Disney when we had no extra money to spend, which is usually the case after the expense of all star cheer!!

I've seen California Cheer Gym level 5 perform at the San Diego competition and still don't know how they even qualified for the USA National.They were quite horrible.I wish I can load the video from that comp. so that you'll see what i'm talking about.

I've learned that USA judging can be off a LOT. That's why our team never chose to go to USA. You know some of the teams there right now just went for a bid.

Do you think it's wrong for teams to go to prelims just because the company is giving out bids?

Every division winner gets a bid of some sort, paid or at large. Since NCE isn't competing against anyone in Large Coed, they automatically get a bid.

no they do not automatically get a bid. they were the only team that had to compete in prelims so i guess some people thought there was no one else in their division. the winner of the division will get some sort of bid.

finals are how cheer competitions used to be and it means you HAVE to be good every performance.

i think its funny how people complain about competitions being too long and too late at night or just super crowded but then complain about this too.

you cant make all the people happy all the time!

and everyone goes into this competition KNOWING they may only compete one day

So pretty much I was told that the winner in each division will get a bid and then they will be handed out by score. If desert storm and american already have bids then either magic or south elite will get a bid. What do you guys think?

Does USA rank the teams before finals? If so do we have an idea of what the rank is?

why would you think they made an exception for CA? Ca has been registered for this event for some time. You guys get on here and bash companies like NCA for having to stiff of competition, saying its not your fault that there are only 3 teams in our division at other companies, but as soon as they add teams you freak out. It's not all about being a NATIONAL champion. It's about the love of the sport. Get out there and leave it on the floor. dont talk crap because youre scared. At this point in the season you shouldnt be scared, either youre better... or youre not. Put your heart and soul into it. You guys are so quick to bash others, instead of pushing yourself harder. You want it.... You gotta work.....

ya know it sucks, but thats what its about. You all know it going into it, but you go anyways. It's not the judges fault you werent good enough. It's ultimately YOUR OWN... you all should spend less time on here and more time in the gym... then you wouldnt have to worry..

I hope, when scoring tomorrow, the judges consider how many members have fulls, standing fulls, standing tucks, etc.

Also, I hope they look at how many stunts the teams put into the air....I'm really concerned with the WOrlds bids at this comp....USA judges really funky!

Actually, according to the videos, CO did pretty well. No they don't have as many fulls as some other teams, but they were pretty clean.
