You are right. WAY too much emphasis on the worlds stuff. I don't care for iut when this competition is referred to as the "super six" at all. There are many people that are of lower levels and just tired of hearing about it. No offense, just would like to hear about other things than "worlds" all of the time. There are so many great hard working level 1,2,3 and 4 teams and their accomplishments to talk about too!
Good luck to all levels of competitors for the rest of the cheer season!!!
A big AMEN to that! I have a level five cheerleader, but I also have a level 2 & 3 cheerleader who works just as hard every week at practice as her sister. It even gets old within their own gym....GO LEVELS 1,2, 3 & 4! Can't wait for GSSA Spirit 1!

Yes, also keep in mind that over 50% of the teams at this competition are levels 1-4. Imagine if they were there. The level 5 kids weren't born L5, they had to work their way up so remember to support the level 1-4 because they are the future l5's.

Amen, Amen and Amen again!
I comletely agree. There some gyms who's lower level squads are just as strong or stronger than their 5 squads. Gym owners a lot of times seem to lose sight of that. I have seen gyms in recent comps where their 3 or 4 teams were clearly better, even the so called elite gyms. They often get overlooked by the coaches and owners. I am sure they often feel like the minor leagues or the teams that pay the bills so that the level 5 teams can go get the glory. Those kids shouldn't feel like they take a back seat to anyone.
my gym doesnt have level 5 and it has been great for the entire gym as a whole. there is a sense of unity amongst the teams at the gym. the girls on each squad all feel like they are the cream of the crop. itis nice. no worries about worlds. who knows what comes next year, but i hope our gym remembers that each of those teams level 1-4 are just as important and they are what keeps the doors open. nothing against level 5 teams at all. they are what most cheerleaders shoot to be. just remember that these competitions are not just about level 5 teams. ive seen some great great level 3 squads over the years and level 4 teams that just wow you too. some level 2 squads who are out performing other levels and those level 1 teams that remind you how it all gets started.
1- 6 just like there is no I in team five is not found in the the word competitions
The prelim schedule has been sent to coaches. Not sure what they are going to do about Senior Dance division. Seeing that they are doing it in the morning and we have kids that have the SAT's.
I hear a lot of people talking about Levels 1-4 and how level 5 gets the glory. Well in our gym that is not the case. All the support goes to the level 1-3. When are level4 & 5 go up all of our parents have left the venue with there children. I tell you it is so frustrating. The upper level teams are there to support the lower levels. I wish just one time people would stay and watch are upper level girls.
