Ahhhhh! Our house was routing for the Pats! Well actually, only 4 out of the 30 at our party were! (We like them because our son played youth football for the Delta "Patriots," we are actually 49er fans). Poor Tom (he is soooo cute :)!
Well im orignally a raiders fan, and back in the day when the patriots won their first superbowl, When Tom Brady was sacked by Charles Woodson and fumbled it in the 4th quarter, but was called an "incomplete pass" instead, and than went on to beat the raiders on that drive and than beat the Rams in the superbowl. So ive disliked the pats for a good while now. They are a great team dont get me wrong, but there is nothing wrong with disliking a team.
I whole heartedly disagree. No I don't follow football, but since Nelson says the NY Giants are good then I must think they are bad.
1. In my excitement I made a spelling error. I apologize to all. I don't make allot of them, so cherish the moment. 2. Tamara, we're fighting. 3. Go Giants!

Yes indeed, the tuck rule incident... it was nice to see not everything goes the Patriot's way (evil laugh).
allot: to divide or distribute by share or portion; distribute or parcel out; to appropriate for a special purpose; to assign as a portion; set apart; dedicate.
Congratulations to the Giants and their fans! The majority of the nation gave you no chance in _____ to win and you won despite the predictions of the public. The Patriots had an incredible year and came up one game, and some would say a few plays or two players short.
One thing struck me this morning while reading the Boston area and New York area message blogs. How must like in our sport, people make excuses when their team does not win, allegations of bad sportsmanship which may not necessarily be the case, actual bad sportsmanship not even being discussed, and complaints when the team that actually won celebrates the fact they won when no one gave them a chance.
Come on....why is it so bad for them to have an undefeated record?
Well as a 49er fan there are about a million reasons why the Pats going undefeated is a bad thing. First of all SF is one of now 3 teams that have had an 18-1 record, had New England gone undefeated they would have been alone at the top, now they're stuck in there with the '84 49ers and the '85 Chicago Bears for the most wins in a single season. Secondly people were beginning to believe that the Patriots were the "best" dynasty in NFL history, this of course currently belongs to the 49ers who were dominant for the better part of two decades. And finally had Tom Brady won his 4th Superbowl he would have been put in the same category as Joe Montana and that's not ok...and on that line of thought had Bellicheck won his 4th Superbowl he would have been "ahead" of the late, great Bill Walsh as far as Superbowl wins. I'm sure other people had other reasons, but as a 49er fan...those are my top 3.
49ers best dynasty? No. Great Dynasty? Hands down. But during the super bowl, there was a poll saying that the 1970 Steelers won the best dynasty by the publics opinion.
Just looking out coming from a Raider fan =) (not saying the raiders are allowed to talk since the are so bad, but still love them)

I can't find the links, but they won two different polls against other "dynasties". Along with the 1984 49ers winning multiple polls as the best Superbowl team ever, Montana to Taylor as the #1 finish in Superbowl History, and ranking Joe Montana #1 and Steve Young #2 as quarterbacks with the best Superbowl performances ever.
The 49ers were good for two decades (unlike most dynasties that were good for one), they only won one SB during the 90's, but aside from one year (1997 or 98, I can't remember) they were in the playoffs every time, and if it hadn't been for the Cowboys in the early 90's and the Packers in the late 90's they would have had much more success.
Just my opinion though...can't say I'm not a little biased.
