It was just Power and All Star Elite in Sr 4. All Star Elite took first...Power had 2 dropped stunts and a couple tumbling touch downs, but still to me, Power had such superior skills I don't underdstand how they got 2nd even with the deductions, just my opinion. Royals got first in Sr 4 co-ed and as someone posted earlier, was outstanding with the problem they had with their music...kids didn't miss a beat, and still took first! Fabulous performance!

yes you are right my mistake about royalswink
power was amazing but all star was very clean and just the better team that day not to take away from power at all.  give all star elite their credit and let them bask in the glory of beating power, it is such a rare occassionbiggrin
royal did great w/out music and it was nice that all the people in the stands were clapping on beat for them and counting with them it was nice to see. thats how you do things. keep up the good sportsmanship parents and fellow cheerleaders.
i liked this competition it was a nice comp for the bust time if the season just to see reworked routines that are getting ready for nationals and to give the kods a chance to perform at a well ran competition.
cheergyms as usuual you are a step above the rest with your professionalism
great competition

Just goes to show judging is subjective...all star elite got 4th against power just the weekend before. Not trying to take away from their win, but power is just a better all around team, deductions or not, you have to look at the level of difficulty and the number of kids throwing level 4 skills. They were clean but in my opinion did not have the same overall skill level or difficulty of power.

Ledgends level 3 team were great, they are stronger every time I see them.

I wish they would have put the youth teams together with the high school teams, would have made more since to me. Spring floor is not needed for youth and I don't understand the big break with the tumble off and having youth and all star together.

The youth division was really good. it was one where it couldve gone to any team for the most part. UCF got first on this one they had a flawless routine/ not perfect but flawless in they performed it well and looked strong

Then don't take away from their win. Week to week, anyone can win. Allstar was the better team yesterday and they should be darn proud of themselves. We did not hit and degree of difficulty does not mean anything if you are not clean. I hate to see after a win people come on here are put down the winning team. I hope everyone has a great Super Bowl Sunday and Go PATS.

It comes down to who hits it.  Apparently POWER 4 didn't and All Star Elite did.  Congrats to All Star.  Be proud of yourselves.  You've acomplished someting that a lot of teams have not.

Well said Lisa,..some of your girls on the L4 team need a talken too.  Some of the other kids around said the girls were rude becasue they took 2nd.  I think kids who win all the time forget how to lose with grace!   This will make them work for it next time, and not just assume they will win becasue they are POWER. Parents too.

We wish POWER luck this seasonsmilesmile

What a rude response to a gracious comment from someone at power. You need to remember yourself the key word in your response is "kid". I don't know many adults, more less children who are gracious losers. And to imply that anyone in all star cheer "assumes" they will win based on their name is ignorant. I don't know of a single competitive cheer squad from youth to high school to all star who pracitces less than six hours per week and to have someone say they assume they will win based on who they are is unkind after all their hard work.

As someone earlier said, let all star elite enjoy their win, as well as don't demean the power girls for what may have been some isolated behavior of a couple of girls....both teams have clearly worked very hard this season.

Well it isn't up to you to decide who needs a spring floor and who doesn't!  Any team with tumblers will need a spring floor. Specially if you are competeing on a spring floor!  We paid the same amount in registrations as the other teams and should get the benefit of the same floor too.  The High school teams requested the floor be removed becasue they don't compete on it at nationals.

Omg...don't get so defensive...no one said you didn't "deserve" a spring floor, I just don't know of a single youth team that practices on a regular basis on a spring floor. Also, high school didn't "reguest" it, they just don't compete on spring floors, probably because they don't practice on them, just like youth! And who said "I" should get to decide anything, just stated an opinion like everyone else on the whole board....isn't that the point of the board? You need to relax....geez weirdfaceweirdfaceweirdface By the way...my daughter is on one of the youth teams that competed yesterday, not starting an all star vs youth argument here.

uh yes the high school teams did request to not have a spring floor per Morton.  And the youth teams did request to use the spring floor!  Morton is very accomodating!  He spoke personally with all youth and high school teams to see what they wanted!  Very very nice of him!  this was a very well ran competition.  Thank you cheergyms.com!

Well ran competition. Great Job cheergyms staff. Very professional and smooth running. The announcer couldve been a little more animated, but overall it was nice-at least we could understand him

Personally, I thought the announcer was the awesomest ever.
