To me it sound like Coach Misty was just trying to clarify for everyone who they are rather than recruit. The posts from you all confuse it between several gyms and youth football in the area. I sensed she was just trying to say they are new, family friendly and open to everyone unlike the youth cheer squads that are limited in numbers in the area and to introduce the team.

It seems harmless to me. And besides there is no other all-star teams within a 20 mile radius of where their gym is located. The only one was Club Spirit in Rancho Cordova and they just went under.

But if recruiting should be done by posting anonymously how great your own team did at comp, then she needs to learn to play by those rules I guess. Seems odd since we should really be here for the kids versus being here for the numbers.

This isn't anything any other gym doesn't do.  It's just more direct than some.  I have seen posts, with huge banners that promote their gym on the signature line.  I have also seen how some gym owners come on here and may twist it a tad and say something really positive about a certain team in their gym.  Is the intent to just give a compliment to that team or is it to point out that this team is now available and hey come check us out?

I could see how this person would want to point out that they are local option for a gym that just recently closed.

To the comment about Folsom, their high school cheerleading has been strong and dominating for years.   I've enjoyed watching them, always entertaining!
